New Grower Welcome to the jungle (in progress)

Just a quick update as they are so teeny weeny there's really not that much to say but it's nice to have a before and after shot so here they are....

Dry Slap and Treacle both germinated and were planted into their starter pots which they broke through yesterday afternoon. Still waiting on the Lemon Sherbert but tbh I'll thank it for taking its time as I've got my hands full atm. 3 different grows and a fourth in the pipeline..... mouth bigger than my lungs I think lol.

I'll post a pic of Sherbert when she wakes up as well but for now here's the two which have already arrived

Update Day 1

Oh yeah,

and a quick picture of all the others I'm waiting on..... was I a little greedy??

Helping a friend start 20 outdoors over the next couple of weeks as well. Fiendish behaviour lol.

These 7 are preparing themselves for life in the big wide world.
I'll be starting an outdoor thread in the appropriate page when the times ready, possibly next week.

6x early finishing photos (Genetics TBC), 1x Treacle and 1x Dry Slap.

Hey folks,

Thanks for stopping by.

Not much to update just yet. All's going well. It's transplant day tomorrow for most of the newbies so I thought I'd just post a couple of pictures before then.

After the transplant they will be spending most of the day outdoors in the sun but then will be brought inside under a set of CFL's to take their total light cycle to 24/0. Next week this will be dropping to 20/4 but until then and the move to their final homes I'll leave you with these.

These 3 are an early finishing Caramel cross photo strain on day 3.

Just a quick update, I'll follow up tomorrow evening.

The light I have been using for these plants took a shit and died on Friday morning. So these plants have been moved to my greenhouse for now and I have ordered a new 125w CFL which shall be here tomorrow. In the object of fairness as I am testing these seeds for a friend I don't feel it fair to carry on with these after them suffering for a few days and so they shall now be grown outdoors to see what they are capable of out there and I have just germinated 4 new seeds in preparation for my new grow light which I will be carrying on in the thread.

So, I shall still document the current ones progress but from here on in I shall be growing the same strains but starting again indoors

Here's a recap

LEMON SHERBERT
O.G. Kush crossed with something a bit danky and secret ruderalis
In tests this had a great herbal flavour with a strong lemon effect, tasty and relaxing
10 weeks from breaking ground to harvest
size = small/medium (lr2 size)
Mainly indica

TREACLE
This is a mega mix of 5 different strains
When tested the smell ranged from treacle to caramel, smooth smoke after curing
10 weeks from breaking ground to harvest
size = medium (a bit bigger than lr2 size, test plant was 1.3m tall)
Mainly indica

DRY SLAP
a pineapple chunk cross with my secret ruderalis
In tests it was a smoke that dried the throat and mouth more than usual but had a big couchlock hit
10 weeks from breaking ground to harvest
size = small/medium (lr2 size)
Mainly indica

I am also growing a seed for another friend who lacks the means to grow for himself. This will be

Auto Super Silver Haze - GreenLabel

Auto Silver Haze is one of those rare autoflowering strains that contain a large portion of sativa traits. She will grow to a height of about 40-50 cm and is guaranteed to generously reward you with a supply of top-notch smokables.
This variety doesn’t need a whole lot of nutrients to remain healthy and vigorous and is therefore relatively easy to grow. Its autoflowering genes make it an ideal candidate for outdoor cultivation.

Indoor: 70 days (seed to finish)
Outdoor: 70 days (seed to finish)
Super Silver Haze x Ruderalis
THC 13-16%

And so, I hope you'll forgive me and understand my decision but here we go again....

Pics tomorrow

Peace

Just to add.

Surprisingly, the ones moved outdoors are doing fantastically well. Looks like summer might really be here

As I've said above I've had to start these tester seeds again but have instead of just disgarding the original ones, I have just moved them to the greenhouse.

I shall update with pics of the new ones as soon as they break the soil. All three germinated within 24 hours and have been planted straight into their finishing pots (10L).

For now though I will leave with just a couple of pics of the ladies outdoors freezing their nips off in the cold. They're holding out though. I see great things to come from them growing inside where it's nice and toasty. I'll keep you posted.

Back in a couple of days when they come up for air.

Peace

Just in case you thought this jungle failed to work I thought I'd post a few pics. These are the original bunch which had to be moved out to the greenhouse, considering the awful weather we've had here they're fairing up quite well. Shows my friends done well choosing some hardy strains. Looking forward to trying some fully outdoor grown pot of my own, its been a very long time.

I also have more tester seeds germinating but I'll keep you posted when there's movement.

These are a mixture of early finishing photos and regular autos.

I'll come back on and post which is which when I've figured it out for myself lol.

Peace

Looking really nice, RF! :smoke:

Funny you mention figuring out which is which - I remember taking pics when my plants were younger and making sure to go in order so I'd remember who is who... Now that they are older I know each one by sight!

Now these quotes in your siggy... Are they Tool lyrics or from something else... Been enjoying listening :D

Thank ya muchly Sapphire, just wish they'd start looking like my indoors ones, they've really taken off now. Won't be long, just praying for summertime to come back, we've only had about a week so far.

So glad you've found them, I've been listening to them loads since I messaged you.

Those quotes, well the first two anyways are from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter. S. Thompson, one of my favourite novels and movies. I have the 'possibility of physical and mental collapse' quote running through my head quite a lot, that can't say much for my mental state lol.

Next bit of homework for you, search for the meaning of Wings for Marie and 10'00 days and then listen to both those songs while reading the lyrics. Intense isn't the word, gets me everytime.

Thanks for stopping by Sapphire, you stay classy cool kid

Heya Rival! :D

Believe it or not I did my homework a while ago! lol Wow, those songs "got me" too... Whoever writes their songs has a real gift, man!

I had forgotten all about Fear and Loathing in LV! It's one of those movies I've seen parts of, but YouTube has the whole movie (in 7 or 10 parts LMAO) so I made a playlist of it so I can finally watch the whole stinkin thing. Cult classic, bout TIME I get going on that. :roflcry:

How are the babies doing? Didja ever figure out whom is who? :smoke: Haven't had an update in a week - I really just came to check up on your grow and realized I never wrote you back... :face:

I'm watching your entry in the comp - lookin good! :booya:

Take care, talk soon!

:smokebuds:
