Im using Garland Jumbo trays in my grow room to sit my 15l airpots on (3 per tray).
The idea being to catch any drips, run off and general debris.

The problem on this grow is my plants have got so big, there getting a little squeezed.
Im thinking of buying some plant pot saucers and dumping the trays so I can spread my ladies out a bit.

If I buy the 35cm saucer, my pot is 30cm in diameter. I will get approx 2l of capacity in this deep plant pot saucer.
If I buy the 40cm saucer this goes up to just over 2.5l.

I use cheap clear plastic run off trays from wallmart that work just fine.

My small area is so odd that I couldn't find a tray to fit it, so had to built my own. 1 x 2" sides and 1/4" plywood bottom. When I built it about 4 years ago I painted it with some left over rubberized paint. That had started to crack so just last week I cleaned it up and put 6 coats of polyurathane on it. In my outdoor box I put vinyl on the floor and caulked it well around the whole edges and corners and ran the caulking about an inch up the plywood. I just let the water run out on to the floor.

In my closet I just have plastic laid on the floor over the carpet. sometimes ill use a towel to soak up extra runoff. Its a pain but its how I do it. I dont have space for trays.

We have drains in the floor of our breeding grow rooms. Its so much easier that way lol.

Mine usually just sit on grass.

I love outdoors. Lol

i use those plastic round thinggys that ware made for plants (saucer) but for odd shapes and larger capacity I'd use that corrugated plastic cardboard that they use for lawn election signs and make my own..btw...stealing those signs during the election is just wrong...I call the campaign office and ask them for a couple of lawn signs and after election i take them off lawn and use them...thats fair right?

Interesting! Good post. I use the cheep plastic saucers available everywhere. They are not quite the right thing for me tho... They don't allow me to push the pots together when the plants are small and are a particular pain to drain after watering.
I like some of the ideas here. the problem that occurs to me is my lack of vertical space. If I could make something only a few inches tall that was easy to drain. Hmmm...

I use Tupper ware lids and I gorilla glue wine corks to them so they get good air circulation

Yo Bro

I use these for air pots.

I just add a bit of tubing so the water can be drained into a bottle or container.

they can take 20L aipots & smaller

Wow thank you just made my life so much easier!! lol. I use plastic saucers and have to move the pots around and use rags to absorb the runoff... every day lol.. I'm buying those asap!!
