New Grower What are your thoughts on sweeteners - Molasses. Bud Candy. Ripeners...

I know this is going to sound weird, but me and my growing partner started adding regular store bought flavor extracts to the water we where feeding our plants, we tried Banana, blueberry, vanilla, and on down the line. we even grew clones from our mother with different water flavors, each one took the different smell and flavor.

Personally, I add all my sweeteners during the last weeks, before flush. works well for me.

Thanks for that. I take it you do sugaree (I am researching now) before flush. Trichs are definable flavor. So on one hand I guess flavor but on the other it's used to make potent. My limited exp on such things leads me to ask. Would grow and flush.. The whole idea of carb loading was a wonder.

I carb load from the first feed, with AN carboload, all the way through flower and add the Sugaree about the last 3-4 weeks.

if you're concerned about flavor you should be growing organically... I'm not knocking chemical nutrients but I feel they are more geared towards commercial growers who don't care much about the end product..

In legal states, commercial growers are going to need to care about smells and taste, or they will be 86'd out of business!

You can e-mail them or call and they will send you a sample of their line for 25 bucks! If they still offer it. I would just tell them you use AN or another product and want to try it out! Give it a go. 25 bucks for a whole line is cheap!

well I didnt read every word but glared at the thread n thought about it for a few and Imho only ofcourse there are only a few things you can use imo to truly heighten the root uptake for an either artificially enhanced flavor even being food grade,it tatses pushed.but fun and not bad if done well.but like Evol said if your truly worried or just really wanting the true kill bud most want and that pure flavor you need to be growing either organiclly and/or veganic type of soils that will give you thee cleanest tasting bud anywhere on the globe, and if used certain sweetners on that style of growing it really helps bring out the strength of the terpenes and essential oils.they stay stronger longer imo. when I grew chems I liked bud candy although never really got a lot out of it for my liking.Molasses dont really enhance flavor imho it really does other things more effectively.and for additions to a molasses feed Id use a 2 step process that I like(sometimes to be honest,not always)is a molasses watering then a sugar in the Raw sweetie push and a cpl of those seem to help better imho than anything Ive ever tried.

Thanks all for the replies! From what I can gather here is one, if doing multiple varieties, if used, they will all taste the same. Next, a lot is unknown but has not been tested. I am in both boats.

Thank you! I got some vegan organic nutes for the very reason you mentioned! I don't have 100% intentions of going organic, but it remains a possibility . In the end, I want a smooth flavorful smoke with nuances of earth and sweetness.
