Guys,

I need help on choosing an appropriate growing cabinet/environment.

I really like the Super Closet's however they are very pricey.

Ideally, I'd like a system that allows me to veg and flower at once to ensure steady production.

any thought?

hi and welcome to closet growing.
im kinda lucky that my place has some built in wardrobes.but if it hadn't id make a wooden box.plenty of vids on youtube.even a cardboard box could be used.

I went to the thrift store, bought myself a wooden wardrobe for $35, and converted into my grow cab, and my diy skills are non existent. For the price you'd pay for a grow box, you can make your own customized box that looks and functions how you want it to.

Hmmm, i thought of making my own grow box but the super closet literally has everything setup ready to go !

If it suits you, go for it, bro!

most leds do veg n flower.i plant a new seed each month,as autos take between 9-12 weeks.i don't have to wait long till next chop.
I see some of these fancy grow box things have a (24/36/48)cloning or seedling section.whats the point if you can only have 2-4 mature plants at a time.big bucks for what it is.

a tent would be better value.can get a kit with lights fans and all.

I agree, the super closet comes with a lot of unnecessary components however many are very useful but for the price I don't know.

what I like about the super closets is the hydroponic system with easy draining and maintenance. I'd also like to use led lights along with T5 for below canopy.

If you're still looking I'd go with one of the new Secret Jardin tents with both a seedling & grow chamber. I have the SuperPonics 8 site system and although the company makes a great presentation to beginners (like me) they miss the boat otherwise. Their top feed in the system is fairly useless. I've never had it work at all 8 site for a whole grow. The water pump SuperCloset (SC) uses also serves as a drainage pump. As this seems overly complicated I've added a drain valve to the bottom of the res so I can eliminate the pump. I also don't like SC's lack of documentation. I was sold on their complete package but when my purchase arrived there were not any detailed instructions on how to use the system. Anyway you'll get a lot more bang for your buck if you piece a system together fro youself. Good luck!

I've had some pretty interesting grows with my Super Closet Trinity 3.0 as is with no mods, but eventually started getting into changing things up and bit and am realizing that most of the issues people have with any of these are user error. You have to understand that everything takes a toll... your elevation (gravity and such), the type of water you start with, fertilizer, etc. Everything varies differently for every climate whether you think the box is 100% it's own environment or not, at least that's my experience. I'm not sure if you are still looking or not, but the SC has been a great choice for me and I've managed to find a lot of others using the same one in which I could get help/suggestion anytime I needed it.

Would you say that those Secret Jarden tents are good? I seen one that was the same size as my box, except taller for a good price.

@truth-830

My opinion is that the best value is to D.I.Y a box, and or buy a tent if stealth isnt an issue.

I built my own box for far cheaper then a superbox..and or prefabricated box. Just like Jackmc, I've heard other people have issues with certain things about those super boxes.
