What is this deficiency?

:toke:-- time to start feeding, there's more than Ca defc. happening IMO,... Those soils are not meant to run with no feeds, they aren't "supersoils",... they aren't balanced for all nutrients either, especially micronutes,... GO, Roots Organics are common choices, but there are others,.. research it and see... Also consider something like BioTabs or Mephisto/GBD soil amendment that's "water only",....
...Medgrower cautions you well about Fuxfarms schwag soil, the [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] problem soil to show up here hands down- :nono:... they used to be great, years ago, but not quality control is at best a gamble,.. I have tested several bags in the low 5's pH--- that is a shit show waiting to happen! They are huge now, so where it's made seems to be a factor,... a few folks seem to get OK bags, at least for pH, but many don't... looks for different options, like Roots, Vermicrop, Black Magic (with some extra EWC and perlite),... Also, seriously consider getting an Accurate 8 soil pH probe, for in-pot testing- -nothing beats this!
As for pH adjusting water, that depends on the source and particularly, hardness,... no matter what your nutes are, if you have very hard water, the cumulative inputs may start to drive pH up; it also load up the soil with extra ppm's of dissolved ions, which can interfere with nute uptake,... I your case, using nearly pure water, adding some Ca-Mg is beneficial to help with pH buffering of acidity especially, which you likely have,.... Taking a pH of pure water is pointless, the meter isn't good at this because of how it works and the almost 0 ppm water (no ions )... because there's no pH buffering minerals (CaCO3 content) in the RO water, it's prone to wild pH swings from even low inputs,...

You should check your run off PH before you start messing with PH up and down. 40 days is way to long without any calmag supplements unless you amended your soil in dolomite lime.
My tap water is hard and even after the 4th week or so I will have some sort of calmag issue and I grow organic myself.

RO water is empty of minerals, everything goes... best to add a remineralizer. Same goes for if your drinking it. Pure RO water and distilled aren't meant for long periods of ingestion. Water days for me mean with a cal mag supplement... all the issues I had with high dissolved salts cramping nute uptake are gone. Ph water in, soil ph meter. Or slurry tests... puts you ahead of issues seeing problems at the root zone instead of seeing it in the growth.

I've tested run off, but can see no correlation to root zone health, as your measuring waste. Example, my last slurry test was soil ph of 6.8 (am well into flower, 6.8 is acceptable with this line) and a ppm of 405 but runoff shows a ph of 6.4 and a ppm of almost 2000.
I run a calcium based line so I run my pH higher than normal, but I shoot for pH 6.5 and ppm between 200 and 600.

What water you using, I use hard tap water and I still need to use the recommended amount as my LED seems to make my girls calmag hungry!
That's very interesting about the LED part!!.. my tap is hard as fuck( no pun) and I always have to fed calmag after 4 weeks or so.
Learn something new[emoji3]

Thanks a lot for the information man. I bought some roots organics buddha bloom and have been using elementals for cal mag. The elementals is really difficult to mix well, and there's always a little bit of the white, nasty fish stuff still floating in the water when I feed my plants with it, hope that's not a problem. So as long as I add cal mag to my r/o water, I shouldn't have to worry about the ph fluctuating and getting too acidic? The reason why I ask is because the problem kind of progressed, but mainly on the same leaves, they just look way worse. How long does it take for the cal/mag to kick in? I've been using it for about a week now. There's definitely other deficiencies happening too. You're right about that.

This is my 4th grow using fux farms and I've had good luck with it, but I'm not going to use it again. I didn't realize they had quality control issues. I am working on getting a soil ph meter next, but most of my plants are doing great in it right now, just my biggest, hungriest one is having problems.

Here she is on day 48. Sorry for the bad quality pics.

Looks like some type of Leaf Septoria... Black spot fungus...hard to tell from photo's

Damn, it kind of looks like that but a bit different. I hope it isn't. It's an indoor plant.

So I checked the other plants in my tent and they are starting to show the beginning stages of this problem too, almost like an infestation that's spreading. I'm starting to think this is more than a calmag deficiency, especially since I've been giving calmag to my plants for a week now and it hasn't helped. I'm not sure what to do.
