Here is my super duper basic set up.

Everythings drilled into the studs I aint having anything fall on my plants.LOL

2 HydroFarms 125 CFL's full spectrum

2 Ottlight CFL daylight spectrum.Only one running now though.

2 small 4-6inch fans

1 16-18 main fan to push air in.

and 2 large n 2 small C02 homemade deals.

I just push n pull the airflow to regulate the temps.works pretty good with no door in that itty bitty closet.LOL!!

and 1 temp gauge at varying heights and on the outside of the closet as well.and a dual display hygrometer.

Im prolly forgetting a pice er two but theres not a lot of cash at all tied up in in whatsoever.the money is in the seeds n soils n nutes.LOL!I hope this helps ya decide whatcha thinkin bout doin man.be good brother.

Hey Dude awesome setup where did you get the Fluorowing wings from really like this setup.

Been away for a couple days, sorry bro..I got the Hydro farms CFL Flurowings on Amazon. They were about 48 bucks or so.in 3 gallon pots Im guessing you could do 2 small plants under each one.but ive grown a touch larger ones under each one.

Hmmm, so if we used an exponential factor, how many small plants constrained in one gallon pots would one of those take care of? Six?

Hey sorry no pics but I use two of those Vanity light strips 4 spot and use splitters for a total of 16 bulbs when in full flower. Half of those in use during veg with 23 watt 6500k bulbs from wally world. Then I swith to the 2700k (yellow color) 23 watt bulbs for flower. I screwed the light strips to a square cut piece of Plywood so I can adjust the whole thing as the plants grow. My Cab is 3 ft wide x 3 1/2 ft tall x 18 inches deep. Works great for me.

Hi jayp, great idea for a thread, people love talking about their setup and it's good to ahve them all in one thread :)

I am an indoor CFL/Auto grower using this equipment :

2 x 2 x 3 feet high box made of chipboard and lined with mylar.

3 x passive intakes (filtered coz we have two cats, hairy bastards i love them !).

Hybrid extract fan, way overpowered for my box which isn't even a cubic metre in size.

A buddy carbon filter, cheap and cheerful.

I use a Plug and Grow 250W Red CFL all the way through. This is a good CFL with ten inch tubes, giving 19,500 lumens.

Real power use is 190-200 watts.

So i am getting 4,750 lumens per square foot and 78 lumens per watt, or 97 lumens per watt of real power input.

I grow four plants, each in a 2L (half gallon) pot, using Plant Magic Soil Supreme (a quality UK compost) and PM organic nutes plus some PM biosilicon for part of the grow.

I have done six grows, the first two were crap, but the last two have both given me around an ounce per plant so i have a working system now :)

Here is the box (no filter in there because no smell yet) :

Four Dutch Passion Starryders a couple of weeks before chopping :

I have grown these strains :

Dutch Passion :

Autoblueberry.
Starryder.
Taiga.

Short Stuff :

Auto Assassin.

World of Seeds :

Afghan Kush Ryder.

My problem is a lack of potency, only two strains (the DP AutoBlueberry and the WoS AKR) have had any potency at all.

I am currently trawling the forums reading about other CFL Auto growers who are experiencing a lack of potency, trying to build a strain-list that has worked for the majority of growers.

All the best,

nibs.

I have 2 105 watt 2100k 7100 lumen and 1 65 watt 2100k 4000 lumen and 1 105 6500k 7100lumans. Made a hood out of half a metal trash can and they will all be under that for 5 plants in DWC.

Really keen to see any list that may have been made - im about tostart a CFL grow and would really like to know. :)

I use 45 W CFL bulbs because they are the most energy efficient from all the CFL sizes, if we don't count other non-compact fluorescent tubes and lights.
