I'd go DIY white leds + red and maybe blue.

Im seriously considering the diy route too, and have been researching for 15 hours the last few days. Holy shit its a jungle out there, i knew jack shit about electronics or diy leds before starting my research, but feel im getting closer.
In regards to spectrum, i think maybe copying the spectrum of the GN units or some other well respected LEDs?
Or going with a simpler COB diy could make it easier, i have seen pretty good stuff around the webs from diy COBs

I was referring to what Lykaboss stated. Happy to stand corrected.

The fact is that grows under GN HS1 is still better than what the Spectrum King light has produced, including in their own video.

Yes, I watched the company video, no surprises there. Interesting choice of lights being compared. I assume the growing skills deployed for the test was right up there with TaNg, Ganjamoto and others.

The thumbs down on the plasma made me go wtf, cause i have seen what the King has achieved by adding that spectrum to his ever impressive array of lights

You have to remember when you see TaNg grow he only does 1 of each strain and gives them the maximum space he can per strain, with new strain every 30 days (I think) for his cycle.

Hey LungsOfGlory, please report back how did that model work for you. I am really curious how it would be performing. Maybe even a grow diary would be cool! It would significantly help us all to make better selection based on user experience.

Will do MedGrower I may do a grow journal on my next grow I'm planning on getting that light in a few weeks and starting a cashcrop auto with it after vacation im hoping to get a few ounces. so far my top yield has been 1 ounce nd that really needs to improve

Be careful with this light if it's the white one if you have a small space. I bought one and had it two feet above three plants all three started turning bright yellow within three days from new growth.i thought I had an iron deficiency at first but it ended up being bleaching from the led.i would try hanging it at least 3 feet above the tops
