Indoor whats correct ph for watering soil 6.5 or 6.7?

When watering my plants to I want to water at a ph of 6.5 it 6.7? I know there's a chart but couldn't remember which one was more ideal.

I know the liquid drop tests go in increments of .5 so if its 6.5 I may jus go back to one of those and match it up to the bottle because my Hanna meter won't get a consistent steady reading..please enlighten me

Neither. You need to be a bit lower, 6.2 - 6.4. It also depends on what your run off is reading. If it's reading high, then go in with a lower pH. If it's reading low, then feed a higher pH.

Couple questions on your Hanna. How long are you waiting to get the reading, are you cleaning it regularly and are you using storage solution? Also, how old is it?

I'm waiting atleast a minute maybe 2. I rinse with distilled water after I use and I put a few drops of storage solution in the rubber end when done. I bought it less than a week ago, the guy calibrated one infront of me to demonstrate and I'm pretty sure he.said I was getting that one.

But when I test the same water twice ill get different readings.

Another question is once I turn it on should the numbers be steady or jumping around?

A minute or two isn't long enough. It can sometimes take up to 5 minutes for the reading to stabilized. They will start out moving pretty fast, either up or down, then start to slow as it stabilizes. I suspect you're not waiting long enough to get an accurate reading. I would also suggest getting some cleaning solution and use it about once a month or so. Nutrients, especially organic ones, can build up on the electrode and eventually throw your readings off. Plus keeping it clean and using the storage solution will greatly extend the life of the electrode.

I will try waiting longer. I've yet to add nutes so I've just tried testing 3 different jugs of the same distilled water I bought and they all been reading different but I heard u had to wait a lil to get a reading but I didn't kno it was that long, I won't give up on it yet, thanks muddy.

Oh and its the basic checker Hanna meter its red and not the waterproof one.

proper water PH should be adjusted to run off PH just like muddy said, promix is hydro water to waste..waste needs to be analyzed... water PH range 5.6-6.2 hydro is a safe range...
