whats going on here?

..in-pot coco pH is best in the 5.8-6.2 range, give or take,... not knowing the actual pH in there makes it a guessing game as to how to adjust your inputs pH, but stay in this range anyway for now; you need a dedicated Ca-Mg for that coco, since it strongly binds Ca and to a lesser degree, Mg, to it particles sated, keeping it from the plant; the 1/4tsp/gal molasses isn't helping much, too weak,.. molasses does have Ca, Mg, K and a little Fe in it, plus the sugar for the soil herd! :coffee: Go 1tsp/gal with it, 2-3x/week as an alternative change-up to the Ca-Mg... get me pics of the clawing to confirm,.. but if that's the case, time to switch to bloom nutes,...

i have been giving cal/mag . the molasses i just started. also using a little great white with each feed. the clawing is starting to work itself out. maybe i doubled N by accident. ill get some more pics up in a couple days if they're are still there. phd my drain off yesterday at around 6-6.5 so its coming back up. should have my meters tom.

got some brown spots on some of my leaves but i got some water on them and thought they would dry off with the fan. stupid greenhorn mistake on my part! hopefully it doesn't cause too much problems. starting week 6 tom. got lots of buds starting due to the lst. wasn't too aggressive due to the problems I've had. so i think a week of transition then go to bloom nutes. hoping the next 4 weeks go better than the first 5!

...was that run-off you tested from a nute solution? What was it going in? ...I need new pics to confirm what the brown spotting is,....
it was a nute solution. its only on the lower old leaves. the plants are so thick that there are leaves push down to soil level. i pruned them out as they weren't contributing much as they were shaded out. i pruned out some damaged leaves to allow new leaves to get light and make some room for the buds. they look much better and new leaves are coming in great! think I'm on the right track now! got my tds, water ph and soil ph meters. gonna test soil later today. thanks for all your help! ill keep posting how they're doing . peace!

got 5.5ph from the soil meter . average from all 4 plants. gonna keep ph my water to 7 till it comes up a bit. should have added some lime to my coco before planting . would have avoided this. at least now i know. starting bloom nutes next watering in a few days as my buds are fully formed on all plants. the trimming of old damaged leaves opened up the plants and now they're spreading out and looking better.

:smoker1: 5.5 is only a bit low, so that's good news,... make sure to always have a low dose at least of Ca-Mg when you water,... As for the lime in the coco, I'm not sure that's a good idea; lime may mess with keeping the coco at the lower pH's it's recommended for,... better to just keep you nute's/water pH'ed before adding,...

well its good i didn't add it then. did sprinkle a 1/2 tsp. kelp powder per plant then watered it in. i also added a tsp. of molasses into my last watering. they're looking good but still short but bushy. leaves are tiny in all but the early widow which has bigger leaves and is still in prebud stage which is weird. would have thought id see buds on her by now. she's not a he. i keep checkin' but maybe she's a photo. but vision seeds doesn't have a early widow photo. she was a freebie from bonza. maybe she's a slow budder but at 41 days you would think any auto would have buds by now. all is well otherwise. don't think I'm going to get much from those plants but they might surprise me in bud size. original says the n.l.and early widow are done it 53 days and n.l blue is done in 60 . will mine grow beyond this time because of a rough start or will they still finish in that time no matter? if they're done by then they will be pitifully small as the buds i have now are barely a inch.

Not to turn your grow upside down but here's my take on your situation. Coco is essentially hydroponics so you need to keep that coco moist and always water with nutes. The coco gives essentially nothing to the plant and is a medium for your nutrient solution. A 5.8 is always good for ph. Remember, it's not soil so the 6.0 to 7.0 is too high. If you let them dry out too much you start getting deficiencies and the large pot allows for wet and dry spots. Even without transplanting autos a 1 to 3 gallon pot is sufficient for autos in coco. You always want runoff in coco, you need to move those nutrients into your medium for the roots. You should water at least once a day with coco, with soil it's dependent on the wet and dry cycle. If this was my grow I would bump nutrients up to half strength and run in double what the pot holds. After that I would water to runoff once a day for a week and possibly bump that up to twice a day going into flower. Definitely add in that cal/mag supplement with every watering as well. Coco is tough because you tend to want to treat it like soil. That's my two cents, take it or leave it. Good luck buddy, growing autos is a blast. thanks for the tips papa! yeah i screwed them up at the beg. with too little nutes then 3 weeks ago i decided that id add some powdered gypsum, kelp meal and lime. that fucked my ph big time and I'm still struggling to get my ph below 6.5 which caused a second lockout which i think is zinc and iron. top leaves are yellowing between veins! been phing feedings to 4-5 to try to bring the coco ph down but its still reading 6.5 on my meter. anything else i can put in there to lower ph other than ph down? if it was soil id mix some sulfur in. I'm afraid to fuck them up more. same time I'm losing yield. maybe top dress with some pure peat? any other suggestions? also I'm watering once every 2 days as the top of the coco only dries after 2 days but I'm in 5gal airpots so they stay wet longer . I'm at the end of week 7 on them. one of my autos is huge with no buds yet so I'm gonna treat as a photo. this is the one that also is showing the most deficiencies. I've been feeding full nutes to all of them as per g.h feeding schedule for autos. except the photo I'm giving full veg. nutes again as she's obviously not a auto. definitely a learning curve going from organic soil to growing in coco with chem. ferts! should have stayed with soil as I've grown for many decades that way. i like a challenge tho. theres always the next grow to get it right!
