I have a Platinum p150. It is not enough for a 3x3. Get the 300w.

What size tent would you recommend for a Platinum 300, @PlatinumLEDTom ? And how many plants under that?

So, I went to put the tent together, get the frame set up, and it's a little too tall for my basement... I should have measured instead of assuming lol. I returned that along with the T5 and will be attempting a smaller size. Going to try the LED instead because having one light for the full cycle sounds easier to me. I am thinking of going with a Platinum 300 or 150 with a tent that's about 3x3x5-6. I still need to figure out the numbers matching to what size tent they could work in though, do those numbers sound like a match? I only want to start off with 2 plants at most in 5g pots, if that helps.

The core coverage on the P300 is 3 x 2 ft, so you will have about 6" on each side that will get lighting but won't fall in the core coverage area. You will see some awesome results under the P300. Awesome , thank for your reply. I actually ordered a tent that's 4x2x5 along with your P300 on Amazon and I will have it Saturday. I will try 1 plant under that and in the future will need a second light if I want to do any additional plants it sounds like. Correct?

Stumbled upon this page on Instagram through random searching. Been a fan of the ganja for a few years and thankfully the state ( MA) I live in just recently made it legal to grow, so I am in a curious phase to hopefully pick a up a new hobby. I've already been searching through the forums and read about a bunch of grows. I'm currently waiting on seeds from Mephisto Genetics (Walter White) and will go the small tent size route for now as my first attempt to see if I even enjoy this process. I hope so because it will be nice to actually know what I'm inhaling and save some $. Still deciding but I'm leaning towards a tent that's around 3x3x5+, LED, 300W+, with one plant going in order to focus better and not have too much going for a first timer.
