Live Stoner Chat What's the least I can feed?

You need NPK to grow.
Pee is budget friendly, there you have the N, just dilute it with 9-10 times as much water or else you burn your plants.
Banana peels are budget friendly and high in Potassium, there you have your K, chop the peels and let it steep in water for a few days, then give the plants the K rich water.
P is the only thing you have to buy(or maybe someone can give us a free P source?)
Bone meal is rich in P and don’t cost too much and a kilo will last for many many grows.
And start with bokashi, then you get free bokashi compost and free bokashi juice from your kitchen waste you can use as liquid fertilizer.
Happy growing :)

Hey everyone, thanks for all the advice. I really appreciate it. After a lot more reading, as well as digging into this forum and reading peoples experiences I decided to step it up a notch. I tossed the CRL lights and got a 1000w LED. Also I am gonna get some decent nutes so I have the best chance. Haven't fully decided on a line yet. I am thinking advanced nutrients ph perfect

Supposed to be great nutes. You going in soil or Coco.

i would advise a first time grower to choose soil, its more forgiving than coco and the watery forms :pass:
good luck
:pighug:

General hydroponics flora series isn't that expensive and you can do as little as 1/3 the recommended amount for veg and 1/2 for flower and both save money and use less nutes

I'm not 100% sure if this is the right place to post this, but new growers looked like a good place for me to start. I'm beginning my first grow in a couple weeks, as I am Canadian and legalization is getting closer. I have my autoflower seeds on the way and my grow tent all set up.
I am wondering what is the least amount I can do nute wise without harming the plant? I am on a tight budget, and a huge harvest isn't that big of a deal to me since over half will be given away to family anyways. So how much do I really need if I only want the plant to be healthy, and not optimize growth?

Hey @Devon11 and welcome to AFN

Choosing auto's to start out on is the best place to start IMO, they are not as fussy as a lot like to make them out to be... plus your in very good company if things should go astray.

If your worried about money the simple solution would be to go organic, put your time and research into that. Soil is cheap if not can be free once you get into making your own... If you wish to use nutes Bio Bizz and Plant Magic do great organic lines at very reasonable prices (they last a lot longer if you use a good soil, again Bio Bizz can help there). This is how I started growing just over 2 years ago using Bio Bizz with great success... with the soil (50ltr) and the nutes (grow, bloom, cal mag, npk boost) it all came to about £50 (3 plants).... also I think some one has mentioned biotabs already another great organic product at a good price ... Organic growing is the cheapest form of growing.

If you need any help just tag me (@Slater) and will do my best to point you in the right direction, also if you get that journal going tag me, love to help out.
