Hey guys. I got this barneys plant that just wont go right. Shes at 6 weeks from sprout. Ppms are 6-700 and doing half maxi grow and half bloom atm but will be full bloom. She is real stretchy and burned some leaves trying to keep it from stretching so bad. Had to rebury her twice cause she stretched so kuch as a seedling. She just dont look healthy. Looks like I got some nitrogen toxicity going on too. Ppms, ph, water temp are all good and this was a multi strain experiment and none of the other autos or photos are showing any signs of distress off the same rez. Everyone looks good but her. Anyone got any tips? And can she uave nitrogen toxicity at 600 ppms

too much nitrogen in second pic for sure. that's a pretty bad claw leaves. I don't give 2 shits about ppm. lmao. not bein rude, I just use ph perfect nutes. other than that she not look real bad

Thanks man! Just a weird plant. Pics dont show it well but all the stems are real skinny, main stalk too. Gonna pull her off of rez and put her in her own bucket. Definitely going to have to tie her up when she starts putting on buds. The claws may be cause I was still using alittle grow nutes ya think? Main stem is bout the thickness of a pencil and she is at like 2 feet tall. Just worried when she really gets into the flower stretch shes gonna get even thinner.

do you have a fan on her? and are you using silica, like rhino skin? both will strengthen up the stems quite a bit.

Yes on the fan and no on the silica. Maybe shes gonna turn into a beast when I get nutes right and thicken up. Im going to have to read now, I dunno what silica is lol. Ill put another fan on her too, she is kinda protected where she sits in closet. Ive only been growing about 9 months but have had atleast 10 diff strains and none have ever been this skinny. Thanls for ya help man.

ye def looks like slight burn in pic 2 as faded says.

but she looks very skinny also, maybe she's just wildly out of tune with the other strains sharing the res ?

 Nater'- I'll have a hydro-homie swing by, as I'm not experienced with this,... but I can say your ppm's are low for feeds at stated range (sorry faded187, but ppm's are everything in hydro),... indeed, it's odd that that one clawed like this, but the spindly growth might also be an indicator of more N than she liked,...(low light can cause this, but I gather not the case here if the others are doing well..? PE has a lot of sativa in it too, so that can contribute to the legginess).... the problem with multi-strain simul-grows is that the different strain plants have different preferences/tolerances, so it's no surprise others are doing fine, while another may be having probs! Auto's especially, are notorious for this,... Silica/silicon is a great supplement,... technically, it's not required, per se, as a true micronutrient, but the benefits are many... helps with heat tolerance, builds stronger cell walls (stronger structurally, better disease resistance), positive interactions with other nutrients,... Great idea, moving her to a separate bucket! ..let me see who I can scare up for you on hydro' advise,....

Thanks waira! Ive had pretty good luck at keeping it at 600. It has to be adjusted daily almost when they really get going. Stole the idea from someone on here and love keeping my ppms so low. Should be plenty of light. Got 450 w reflector led and 20 cfls at 23w each in a 3x6 area. The burnt leaves is where they touched the cfls when she was younger and I was trying to keep her from stretching. Gonna cut out the grow nutes when I put her in her own bucket. Could be she didnt need to transition from grow to bloom nutes so slow? Was planning on swapping her tonight but dang children wanted to eat and lights went off in there before I could make it back. Another weird thing she is doing....she wont grow towards the light. Just straight up. She went right past my light and didnt even bend towards it. I think shes stoned lol.

nt,
I think you are on the right track.
Isolate her and put her on a light bloom feed and see what happens.
If you are on the right track, the leaves should green well and the clawing back off.
She got much of a root system? She reminds me of many a male I have seen.
Some plants never seem to thrive, I always tend to try though.

Good Luck!
