Does it matter if the bottom buds start to slightly crack first or the top. And by bottom i mean if the weed was upright the bottom of that weed. This can bevabit confusing since its hanging upside down now haha thought id clarifyDepends on your temperature and humidity when drying , which ideally I like to aim for around 50% rh and temps in the low 70's. I like a slow drying period of say 6-7 days. During this drying period I will check the stems daily sometimes twice a day. Your flowers will start to feel crispy on the outside, and your stems will bend and slightly crack. It is time to jar them at this point, wait the 24 hrs and proceed with your daily twice a day burping routine.

For the initial dry, go by the stems. They shouldn't bend, but "crack". Not snap in two, but break while still holding together.Does it matter if the bottom buds start to slightly crack first or the top.
Havent started yet. In about two weeks im thinking it will be time. Justbwatching the trichs everyother dayHow long have your buds been drying?
A rule of thumb I follow, and have good luck with, is to let it dry for a day for each 10 percent humidity you are drying it at. Example, if the humidity was 40 percent, I will hang dry for 4 days, 50 percent humidity hang for 5 days, etc. Usually it is good to jar, sometimes it takes an additional day. This will give you an idea of where to start. Good Luck.On a side note how do u know when to stop drying ur plant and go to curing?

I like this rule. I live in az and my walk in closet is at 25 percent rh. Pretty dry. Im going to get a humidifier to add abit to get to 55 or so rh.A rule of thumb I follow, and have good luck with, is to let it dry for a day for each 10 percent humidity you are drying it at. Are you after a "heady" high, or more of a couch lock? I prefer a very zippy smoke, and unless I'm growing meds my recreational buds are harvested early.
Once things start getting close (especially on a new strain) I'll quick dry small buds until I get exactly what I'm looking for.
Congratulations on a successful grow, Brother Carl!![]()
