Hey guys, probably a dumb question, but figured I'd ask anyway. I just had a baby sprout yesterday in a 3G pot of sunshine mix #4. I'm planning on brewing teas this grow, and I'm wondering when to start? Would it be safe to make an extremely diluted batch of tea with the yummy worm juice from my worm bin? Maybe even some kelp extract? Or should I wait a few weeks to start feeding like usual?

This is my first real go with this kind of thing.. I apologize for my ignorance. Lol

Hi Opi, I just got an answer to a similar question, today. Evidently, EWC teas don't have much of a jolt effect, even to seedlings. It was recommended to start myco tea as seedlings, to establish a great root system. On my first grow, I waited until late veg, and the root ball suffered. I'm sure some of the gurus of tea brewing will check in, but thats the word I got, this very day. So, I gave my seedlings a myco tea :)

Ah, great minds think alike I see. Lol

Thanks man, that's awesome. Glad I started brewing one today before I asked. Hehehe, honestly, I think I'm just as excited about brewing as I am growing. I was getting impatient to start.

Yeah I would try to whip up a mycorrhizae / tricoderma / bacteria tea, with your favorite myco stuff like Great White, or Oregonism, or whatevs, and some molasses and/or honey for the goodies to feed on, and a lil bit of mushroom or cow poop compost to jump start the goodies :) just my two cents, I'm still learning too :)

Hey opi man, yeah there is several ways to use your teas.IF they are brewed mellow'ish and 1:1 mix down ration(cut with an equal part of water)can be fed early on to enhance late stage seedling root development.or i ooften prefer to wait till around week 1.5 or 2 then hit em with a well rounded tea for veg and boost the soil and it'll do that in fine form.so id say aire on the sided of caution and brew a full strength one and cut it by 50-60% and apply at week 2.in a good mixed soil that'll be excellent.thats for autos too.I used the same recipes for young seedlings either photo and/or auto without issue.so just aire on the side of mellow n you'll be fine for a boost for juuust prior to the top of veg.if your plants are doing well,it may not be needed.hope that helps ya decide.I use them at times at the mid veg stretch, transition and two for flowering and a crab n sugars boost too through flower n rinse cycle too.

Right on brother eyes! I was hoping you would stop by here.

Yea, that actually helps a lot. The sunshine mix is mixed up with a few handfuls of compost per pot, so that's probably enough to keep them going for a little bit. I have 1 gallon of water bubbling away with miniscule amounts of goodies in it... I'm talking like, a teaspoon of worm juice, and like half a tsp of kelp.. A pinch of compost, and a dabble of molasses.. I'll decide in the morning if I wanna dilute it and dribble some on, or just hold of until I get out of camp next week, and give her a full dose then.

If I end up killing something, I got some think Different, and cream Mandarin just itching to be poped.
