haven't drunk whisky in a while, usually I'll drink it more often for a while, then not at all for a while, etc.

currently I still have some leftover of a bottle of bowmore, matured in bourbon casks.

Just seeing that bottle makes me feel sick lol. I drank for the first time in years last friday with new work mates. Then puked all night and felt really sorry for myself. Kraken rum is to blame.

what, premixed sold in a can?

I've seen them a ton at festivals(also not US though, I live in the netherlands). I sometimes work behind a bar at festivals, and there all mixdrinks come from cans like that. it's a regulation thing, if they sell it premixed like that it fall under regulations for <15% alcohol drinks, like beer and wine. if we would mix it behind the bar with a bottle of liquor, it would be subject to the laws for >15% alcohol(eventhough it's still <15% when the customer gets it).
as a customer you'll probably not see much of those cans though, since we also have to pour them out into plastic cups(less danger when it ends up on the floor. we also have to sell bottled water without the cap, since with cap it could be used as a throwing weapon).
