Mephisto Genetics White 'n' bubbly space bucket grow

So I checked on her this morning and she looked a bit better. Top looked great but the old growth at the bottom was still very droopy. I checked her weight and dryness and she was at the stage that i would usually water her, however that obviously isnt working out for me now that i have the perlite holding water so i have left her and will water tomorrow. Hopefully that is what the problem is and the extra day drying out will help.

This grow just keeps on giving. So I left her an extra day to dry out and now the pot is extra light. Can still feel a little bit of moisture near the centre but she's now showing a deficiency. A lot of yellowing of the lower leaves has occurred over night and now I have that to deal with. So much for a plain watering. Gonna have to give her a feed. Grow, bloom and calmag I reckon. Can anyone weigh in here?

Just given her a full strength feed. Around 2.5l. You could tell she was dry as the water ran straight through her at first. Did a little defoliation too to remove the worst of the leaves. Hopefully she can recover still.

Finally, I have gotten a hold on this grow. Slight bit of bleaching possibly on the top cola so I have added a spacer to raise the light. She has taken the full feed well though and a lot less drooping. Looks like the perlite was throwing me to as when she needed water. Going to use less on my next grow and add a bit of vermiculite. I have cocked this grow up from the start and she has taken the abuse all the way. Just goes to show the quality of these genetics.

So this grow has me stumped. Reckon I will shy away from as much perlite in my next grow. I am waiting for the soil to dry out completely between watering but the day before each feed without fail she is showing nitrogen deficiency and yellowing off. Ive upped the feed each time but can't seem to give her enough. Now on 3ml per litre grow, 3ml bloom and 2ml calmag. Biobizz nutes. Any advice on quantities at day 40? I don't have a problem defoliating autos but there is only so many leaves I can remove.

Extra strength feed today with some new nutes. Have had a few nitrogen deficient grows using biobizz nutes so picked up some cheapos that are higher in nitrogen to use alongside them. Flowering is coming along nicely. Just want the yellowing to come under control now.

Day 46 and changing nutrients has made a great difference. Not saying I won't use biobizz again but they certainly lack something IMO. Will probably use them along side the poundland cheapos I have picked up. She stands at about 20" and is seriously bushy. Reckon I'll have to do a bit more defoliation to improve airflow soon. Overall a lot happier with it than I have been. Frosting up nicely now too.

Awolace, I think you'd really benefit from having a moisture meter. It's a real eye-opener! My basic soil mix calls for 2 parts peat, 2 parts perlite and 1 part worm castings, so I use a 40% perlite mix. And my moisture meter has proven to me that even when the top two inches of my soil is bone dry, there is still plenty of water half-way down in the pots, and the bottom soil is just plain wet.

Because of this, I know that I need to use less water when I give my girls a drink. Moisture meters are cheap, but they are never-the-less, a very good investment.

Your plant looks so much better. She's a happy girl again!

Here here she is day 50 a couple of days ago. Gave her a watering after these were taken using poundland nutes to a custom schedule that i will be following for my next grow and she has absolutely exploded in trichomes and weight. Excited now.

Day 53 and she's started putting on weight and frost. Very happy with these poundland nutes I've started using.
