So I've been looking at my plants and the leaves looked abnormally frosty so I looked up white powder mold and I'm pretty sure that what it is. They have spots of white on the leaves an under a microscope it looked white and uninform. So my question is what do I do to get rid of it? These plants are pretty far into flowering now so I'm thinking of harvesting them earlier if the buds would still be salvageable. Also I was wondering how it spreads? It seems to be only 2 plants affected but I have a lot more that I'm worried will get it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Maine

I was looking at this thread this morning https://www.autoflower.org/content/153-patient-s-guide-recognizing-mold-mildew-mites-mmj.html

here's a highlight
Mildew:
Powdery mildew (PM) occurs during the cultivation stage and generally attacks the leaves of a plant. It can be difficult to spot as PM appears very similar to trichomes, the wax-like structures on cannabis give it a dusted appearance.

PM will generally look whiter than a trichome and is fuzzier, as opposed to the elongated structure with tiny heads. It will also be concentrated on the leaves, so make sure to give extra inspection to buds with an extremely tight trim.

here's a way to get rid of it (if it is mildew)

Wipe the area with a small amount of mild dishwashing detergent mixed with warm water. Use a damp, not soaked, rag to prevent over wetting the furniture, which can damage the wood. (it says furniture or wood - buit i've seen epople doing the same with plants)

I googled all this info ^_^

You can buy a anti fungi spray at a garden center or grow store and hopefully this will help.

Thanks guys. I'm considering just chopping them down so my other plants don't get it as well. Would that prevent it from spreading or should I still wash the leaves of my other plants? And if I cut them down is it safe to smoke or would I still need to wash it off?

Does any one have any tips on how to contain or get rid of white powder mildew? I got rid of the 2 plants that were affected by it but then I noticed that another one of my ladies has it. I've been spraying they with this stuff called 3 way and I've been removing lower leaves for better airflow. I also have been keeping my humidity at or below 40%. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this shit completely? Or will I have to keep re applying foliar sprays to treat it?

To be honest; throw those plants in the garbage bin. Do the same with your cabinet. Powdery mildew can cause a variety of chronic (lung)diseases when you smoke that pot. Baking, or making edibles can help you prevent that, since our stomach is more resistant to fungi.
Better safe than in a hospital every day for the rest of your life, coughing your lungs out. Right?

Throwing away everything isn't an option right now. My whole life is invested into this room. If my next plants get it ill treat them the best that I can and I'll probably end up water curing anything that gets it. I'll never throw away anything that could still be used.
