I think it would be great to put the pots on, doesn't heat air around it, just objects which may be just enough for the roots to be nice and warm. I don't think it will be that hot being as though it's meant for reptiles!

Hello all!

The little one is looking good. I've not watered still. I think the soil (Biobizz All Mix) is a little strong for this strain? Some very slight burn on the first set of leaves. Nothing to worry about I'm sure, regardless, it's the healthiest looking seedling I've had so far. Not going to fuck with it!! Am I imagining it or do they lean towards the blue CFL more at this age?






The Mango is looking better by the day. I'm sure that in another 5 days she will perk up. Hope so anyway. I was reading about overwatered horticulture in general, and many people seem to think that overwatered plants should be moved out of direct sunlight, into shade. Something to do with the roots needing to recover while the soil dries out. Maybe I misunderstood that though. I give her a break from the CFL for a few hours, just to see if that helps. Any-one with more insight into that please feel free to help me out here!


And finally, the Auto Assassin! Well, I lifted the pot today to see how we were doing. Had a quick look under the hood and found this.......



Looks like a curious tap root to me? Question is....what do I do? I wanted to try something in this 2 liter pot, because everything I try in 6 liter pots die. Do I have to transplant to a bigger pot in order to keep it alive? Root Trim? Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to grow a smaller plant to gauge my needs.

I clearly can't go above a 6 liter pot. I need to LST a little as I can see even with the overwatering, this little madam isn't about to stop growing. My temp 2" under the light is about 85. It's not too hot to put my hand under it, but I can't help but think that is a little high? Especially with the main (mini!) cola being 3" away. Maybe this isn't helping things what do people here think? Any-one with any experience with this? I was looking at mini tents today. Maybe that is a better option.

Nice nice....

Couple of things I noticed,

Don't move it out of the light as far as I know, the roots can't see the light anyway......I think.. I'm no expert by any means so don't take anything as 100% fact. But I can try to help you as people did me.


The root will be fine, it will trim its self as they don't like light or air.
If you are gonna re pot I would do it sooner rather than later as its regarded as not the best to re pot autos.

Also, I see the extraction is on the floor or low down. Can I suggest you put it at the top of the room as the heat rises and this will filter the warm air away better.
I have the filter...fan...duct out of the tent....all at the top. Then the intake at the bottom but as I said before not pointing at the pots.

If you think its too warm at the light just point the intake or circulation fan at the bulb and you can keep it just as close.

Hey Dude, thanks man. Yes, sorry I haven't explained my cab set up properly. I use two pc fans sucking air in the bottom of the cab. One is mounted on the back panel, bringing air in horizontally. The other is mounted on the base, blowing cool air vertically, a nice small breeze pushing the hot air up. Then I have my filter hung next to the light. To save space, the ducting goes down under the grow area, where the 4" inline fan is mounted, then ducting back up through the cab and out the top. This works well to keep all the warm air as high as possible whilst allowing the cold air at the bottom around the cab to be pulled in by the pc fans.

Phew...does all that make sense?!!

I'm really not sure what to do with the Assassin, I don't want to use a 6 litre pot as they grow a little too big, and I have the White Widow joining the cab soon, a week or so. I have a taller pot, about 4 litres which is tall yet slim, maybe I'll put her in that later. I know they don't like transplanting but she is small and I can be gentle, she won't know it's happened!!

Heres a pic of my cab in more detail. And my other stealth cab which I start the young ones in. Same principle but smaller, also doubles up as a drying cab as I can turn the lights out and still have the fans on.

I only mention the transplant as you said you had had bad luck in the past.if you keep it in a small pot it will keep the plant smaller? Or is that just none autos.....?

Hello everyone! Daily update from me :Sharing One:

The WW is doing well, I've still not had to water her, though I think I will be doing in the next day or so. What do people here think?







I decided to transplant the Auto Assassin, being as though the tap root was half an inch out the bottom of the pot. I know it's not recommended, but I did it anyway. It went well, I don't think she noticed.




The Sugar Mango is looking better still, give her a few more days and we will see. I'm hopeful! As you can see from this picture, the AA is looking great, 2 hours after transplant.

Hello all, things are looking much better in the cabs now. The WW is looking healthy, I just watered her using tap water with 1ml/ltr Bio-Grow. She loved it.








The Sugar Mango is doing OK. She is looking like she needs a feed but I'm waiting it out, just a few more days then I'm going to try a very light feeding and build it up from there. See how it goes, but at least now the pistols are growing and she isn't drooping-must be a good sign?







And the Short Stuff Auto Assassin! Well, almost 24 hours after transplant to a slightly bigger pot, wow. She looks great! Vibrant and happy

Hey all, a little update for you.

I've been getting things in order today haha. Printed out the Biobizz nutrient schedule, made a planner so I can look back and see exactly what I've fed and when! So the White Widow is doing really well, looking so much healthier than ANY of my previous efforts at this stage in growth. I fed last night, she seemed to love it, honestly I could tell a difference this morning she looks vibrant! And the Auto Assassin is looking fine after transplant. Just the same, I'm super happy, looking really healthy! I got carried away with the camera so, enjoy if your into that kind of thing!:drool:

And the Sugar Mango has also been a trip. She's perked up and started to show very slight signs of under watering ( I was waiting for that so I knew it was definitely time to start the water again) so I watered with 1 litre of tap water (1ml Bio-grow/3ml Bio-Bloom) and I'll see what happens!
