one other thing there pricey but, the control wizard ph meter is a probe and it's a great product big help in the garden, you'll know what your soil ph is exactly. could be a lock out not a deficiency......has vertical growth stopped I ask because your still feeding grow nutrients and it looks like your in full flower?

Plus, having that meter ^ ^ ^ allows you to verify your conclusions about what the PH is based on your calculations from run off tests.
I picked one up because I don't trust my own math ;)

I've studied that chart so many times, but I can see N for sure and Sulpher I didn't spot. Do you think this is because of low pH? All mix is 6.5-6.6. If I leave my water for 12 hours, it gets to pH 7.5, should I just be leaving it a little longer? Should I boil the water first do you think?

Is household ammonia easy to come by? I have never heard of it, I will buy some if I can find it and keep it ready. I'd still like to get to the bottom of why this is happening every time, I know its a pH thing, it must be, but. Some people say 6.2 or above in soil, some say more like 6.9. Some charts show it different to others. I'm trying not to over think it, but maybe thats my problem.

Thanks for the info so far guys.

Maybe I should sell the EC meter and get this then. Yes I'm still adding grow nutes as per the nutrient schedule. I thought they were N deficient so figured they needed some grow too.

AFAIK, 6.5-6.7 is your range for good absorption/uptake of Cal/Mag which becomes more important, the further along you get...in veg, the range seems to be
anything from 6.2 to 6.7. Nitrogen appears to be available to the plant via the roots from 5.5 to 7 and up.

Ammonia is what was used before Windex (popular window cleaner) so if you go to the household cleanser aisle of the local grocery store, you should find just
simple ammonia as a cleaning product. Just make sure it doesn't have other additives/streak-free chemicals, etc.

Ok guys thanks for that, going to get all this purchased ready for a few months time. Is there anything I can do to prevent it happening in the first place? Should I be adding some epsom salts after a few weeks?

To me that looks more like a mag deficiency. I can't see in those pictures but are there also some small, round rust colored spots? If so, then that's a calcium deficiency, which usually goes hand in hand with magnesium. Did this start around week 5 or 6? If so, that's when cal/mag deficiencies usually show up. Do you have the ability to check the PPM of your source water? If so, I'd be interested to know what it's reading. Cal/mag deficiencies are common with autos and can easily be remedied by adding a cal/mag supplement to your feedings.

Your pH seems fine since you are feeding at 6.5 and getting run off about the same. I'm not seeing anything that would indicate you're in a nutrient lockout situation related to the pH. That drop from 7.5 to 6.5 when you add nutrients is normal. Most nutrients are acidic and will lower the pH. Nothing to be concerned about.

Calibrate your metre mate, also looks like mag def on that last pic. Maybe u got cal-mag problems. I would advise getting an organic cal-mag supplement.

Thanks guys, I'm not sure wtf happened. I don't think it is just one thing. I agree I thought it was a cal-mag thing too, but then why are the stems always going purple/red, and why do some leaves look burnt, and some have brown spots. It's just too confusting right now.
I'm dissapointed to say the least. In a few weeks I'll be back to street weed, not good. I've spent soooo much money, upgrading lights, tent, ph/ec meters, everything. I was told growing organic, in soil, is super easy and not to worry about pH or anything. How I got this wrong and continue to I'll never know. I'm going to give it one more try when the weather cools down here. I'm just going to pot a bean, follow the schedule and see what happens (this is ALL I've been doing anyway).

Urghhh, this isn't fun right now.

Get something bushy and user friendly, over pot it and underfeed it (concentration) and give it tons of light. I think you're due for a slump buster :)
