Why are my seedling falling over?

:smoking:Groff, what's happenin' mate?
...mmmhh, those did get leggy on you! I get this on my outdoor seedlings every year, one or two seem to elongate in the stem and build leaf bulk faster than the stem can harden up to support well enough, or the wind knocks them around... I get a small skewer, a bit of twist tie, and attach it tightly to the skewer first, then tuck it in an inch or so away from the seedling (don't want to nail the taproot!), them make a small open ring at the end of the tie and slip the plant in it just under the leaves, then close it up,.. 2-3 days later it'll have hardened up enough to support,... and topping the pot some will help too of course! I also start Si supp's right away, a little in every watering/feeding,... Just curious, what kind of light are you running? COB?

Nothing much for now… the ever so slight cal mag deficiency, but didn't linger. New coco, so not much cation exchange capacity going (CEC). Basically taking out my end of flower feed (high on PK) from the other room and diluting to 0.8 EC. Perfect for seedlings. But didn't add Cal Mag (should have, simply forgot, but definitely will next time).

Haven't done anything to be honest, just letting them be. Just a case of turbo-growth-to-stem-turgidy-ratio a bit off. Been extremely busy, getting home straight to bed. But this weekend I'll definitely top up those pots with coco, and prep their first post-seedling-vegetative feed.

It's a new light, on veg mode. 185w actual draw, about 15cm (20") above. Platinum LED P600. Never used it before, but the spectrum seems ok. Can't argue boosted blues are good at this stage.

I'll post back what happens, but I know it's nothing major. just thought it was weird that 3 of them stripped over their own growth and not spring back.

Live and learn gents, live and grow great weed :pass:

Sometimes better let mother nature do her thing... So far, have done absolutely nothing

100% natural mega super-crop knuckle in the making? :headbang:

___

That is really bizarre I had to look extra close to see if it was maybe some pythium or somethin but no it's just, it's just weird.

 that's a hoot! I admit, I've never let mine go more than a day when they toppled like that, but they seem to "know" and try to correct,... I think the stress along the stem releases hormones telling them so, it just takes some time to fix it! For me, the breezes can be a constant pain, so I cave in and brace'm up right away,...:smoking: Wow, that one really is super-cropped, huh! well, if rot doesn't set in at the bend before she fully seals and hardens up, she'll be fine I bet,... the rest of her clearly doesn't mind! :pass:

Bury up to leaves, it's definitely stretching for light ......Notice how it leaned outta the shadow to the brightness....

yeah, a bit whitish isn't it? But staring at it for 20 minutes and listening to what they're saying convinced me otherwise. At this stage I give them one nice feed a week, 20-25% straight down the root riot cube to moisten the central tap root, the res circling around. 1L per pot. Good for a week at this point. Really moist for a day, then it spreads out to the rest of the coco bringing in new air and oxygen. RH at 71%/45% so I don't think there is a fair change for anaerobic activity.

Toppled over, "snapped" the stem, recovering like a champ. Could turn out a massive knuckle and turbo boost production!

That thing isn't trying to crawl away from your lights is it?

Yup! This pot is one the outer edge of coverage. She toppled over away from the light ! :face: I thought about of spinning the pot 180º so to get the fan leaves more direct light, but I'm teasing mummy-nature kick back and work for it :cooldance: don't want to mess too much, letting her do her thing for a few days, maybe the weekend when the bruising recovers a bit I'll move the pot around

definitely. I don't usually put a fan on because it looks horrible on my time-lapse videos . But I'm not recording anything :crying: duh !!
will make proper arragements for sure

you are correct. Photography skills not at best, but in any case there are photo's and I'm not in a rush. Waiting for my flower room to finish this weekend to rescue back some light. So for the mean time, no big deal, this will have to do. I'l planning n a 5 week veg before the flip  So for now I'll wait a few days for that "super-crop" to heal a bit before messing with it

its too late to fix it as is .LOL! low light and little or no wind makes crawlers out of em LOL! kinds neat eh? LOL! problem is if it doesnt get either a support or strengthen up ,I have heard of them cracking. but when I have had a few do that ,they did fine. Increase the wind n all that. higher brix injection would be helpful. possibly even some mammoth P. but rice wash water, a dash of sugar and/or molasses ,with the smallest sprinkle of vitamin B as well as some micro life depending upon soil construct. lil kelp liquid or soluble could not hurt either. tooth pick her up straight and put her right under a light with some wind and she'll right herself as much as she can without more help. but thats LST almost. nice weeling dude.

Yeeee of little faith... :pighug:

Many times the best medicine is just love. Let mother nature do her thing. Before work this morning I softly wiggled the stem to train her back up, stuck a sushi stick I had around for her to lean on… This is 10h later, and yeah… the one who self-supercropped herself flat
