Cannabis/hemp was starting to put a hurt on the cotton farmer of old. Who owned the cotton farms? The rich and appointed government officials owned the plantations who owned the slaves that farmed the cotton. It was boiling down to keep what you have, or loose the whole ball of wax...ie- the cotton, slaves, land, money, STATUS!!!

I thought I knew, until I read The Emperor Wears No Clothes. If you want the whole truth on how all this came about, and why Hemp got taken down too, you really need to read that book. And its more than just the story of how cannabis prohibition came about, its full of information about cannabis and hemp that most people don't know! It can be found on the internet now for free, find it and have an eye opening read!

M'well, it starts with a UN Treaty which provided legal grounds for politicians to gain even more support than they already got using unethical methods i associate to hateful bigotry turned into a socially-acceptable activity. The primary goal was supposed to be for the protection of children and the society but a multitude of incidents shows our respective legislators behave as wizards who thought they were justified to experiments with societies and minority groups...

Everyone involved gets a dime out of the anti-cannabic war except the users themselves. They say it's addictive but it seems they're even more addicted than people like me will ever be, at least i know for sure i've never killed anyone over cannabis, etc., etc. The harm caused by cannabis was a total invention and what's even worst is that those hateful individuals don't want to see how much it's wrong to ignore real harm caused by tobacco, alcohol and gambling... Only to name a few.

In Quebec there's presently a new TV add, which i've seen only once so far, and it shows a guy sleeping full-dressed while they pass their message: drugs make you worthless, whatever. I can hardly imagine the same for gays, "colour" persons or women... Or why not sorcerers and black cats?...

I will tell you exactly why cannabis is illegal! Back around 1936 and 1937 Harry Anslinger was the chief officer for the "narcotics team" in the USA! This is what he said and this is why marijuana is illegal to this day, because of this :bone: sucker! And I leave you with his famous quote!!

“There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. i read it was to do with the fact that THC is a close relative to LSD and that's why its illegal take the THC out and it should be legal lol
