im about to grow the strain "easy rider" by joint doctor. this is my first grow and will be outside. i know how to germinate and everything, but after germination, do i need to put it in a small pot of soil and transplant to a bigger pot? and if so, why is that the case?

You can plant direct into a big pot if you like.

Lots of times when you see people using a small pot or cups 1st its because they are sexing the plants.

No sense planting into a big container then have to end up ripping them due to being male :p

You should start inside in a small pot for about three weeks to get a nice healthy transplant that you canput outside. This will give it a head start and it can withstand the outdoors with little problems.

EasyRyders are sold as all Female -at least that the last time I ordered. I'd take namvet's recomendation; however, I'd start it in its final 3-gal container inside and just move it outside. Sometimes transplanting can cause stress and stunt the plant. Its already a short plant to begin with. It is a great strain for the beginer. Good luck!

I'm starting my seeds in small pots to be easier to transplant them outdoor and also lack of space.
