My cab is only 22 inches wide and 14 deep. You learn to make the most of your room.

A 2x2x4 box would be awesome for an LED, If you could throw up a link for the one you posted we can check it out for you, or if you want a recommendation for a good affordable one we can do that too. I see you live in the states so I'd recommend a blackstar 240 uv flowering model for a 2x2x4 box. It would cover the footprint of that perfectly. I really recommend the box over the dresser, as soon as i build a cab I instantly want more room :firedevil: It would also be easier to cram a filter in that grow box than the dresser. if there's any way you could raise the height on that box to five feet you won't regret it. If it's a stealth or height issue then four will work fine.

What's your shopping list look like?

well I asked for advice so I am going to take it. I will go ahead and get the stuff to make me a 2x2x5 box. I don't know all the equipment off the top of my head but from something I saw on you tube. I am thinking some 2x4 and some 2x2 lumber for frame and for siding there is this stuff contractors use for insulation on new houses. Styro-foam board or insulation board (not sure of proper name but i will know it when I see it). it is easy to cut fan/air holes out of and makes the box lite enough to move if I have to. I will get some 4 inch flanges and some duct hose like you use on a clothes dryer. some hooks for hanging lites and maybe a yoyo type adjustment string. got to have duct tape, a small oscillating fan, humidity/temp guage and maybe anything else I can find while I am at home depot or lowes. I can get 2 or 3 of these lites http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-FLCD.../dp/B001UV6P9I for the price of the LED will that be OK ? I will check back here before I go to the store. And again thanks for the advice.

You won't get 3 of those into that space. You might want to make one side plywood.
You can screw a powerstrip onto it, and it will give the box some rigidity.
I plan on putting the duct fan on top to minimise the footprint, so I want some
strength there as well. After you get all the lights and fans in, it'll be heavy.
I want my next box to have wheels to make it easier to move.

OK I hope I can get a quick reply so I know what to get in the morning. as discussed the built box will be 2x2x4 or 2x2x5 wood comes in 8ft pieces so no waste if I go 2x2x4 but as suggested that xtra foot might make all the diff in the world. Anyway I can make that decision this evening when I put it on paper.as Late says I would not get 3 of the lights in that area comfortably anyway. but I seen these at wallyworld and I could put 4 of them in there quite easily. 2 on top and one on each side but will that enough lumens and range ? what you think about these lights

it says Color: 4200K Lumens: 1093 so 4 of them would be approx 4400 lums thats good huh for my small box.

I think 250 watt for about 80 bucks is a good deal, and a good choice.

That Walmart light would take 7 to equal one of the light I suggested.

I got mine at a grow shop, but it was $70 there for one.

I just ordered one of those lights from Amazon to put in my next grow cabinet.

well as usual if I get a plan it always goes KAPUT. I have been informed to wait a week or so until some house guests come and go. :crying: but I will just wait patiently and keep reading and learning. So should I close this thread or just keep it here. :o because I will continue and I will grow. Adapt and overcome.
