New Grower WileyWilly's NL Virgin grower

Whew

Well to start with please don't apologize bro, You are my life line so with out you I got squat. I probably sound like a little whiney baby but that is just all talk. I am really laid back and take it as it comes. I really want these to turn out good, but at the same time I know it is my first go around so If they crap out I got 3 more ready to drop, such is life. I just need some weed LOL. I am just glad to hear that it is something easy to fix. I can get that lime pretty easy I am sure. So how much should I mix with each pot ? the best I can tell one pot is 1.25 gal and the other one is just an old pail like you might see at the beach. so I guess 2 gal. I could try maybe a cup in the little pot and 2 cups in the bigger one ? and then I have the 3 FF nutes Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and Grow Big. So I am guessing the GROW BIG, is the one you want me to add now correct ? I will read the labels and break it down. Would this thought process be a good one ? "for me to remember they are young so I don't want to burn them and if it is not enough I can always add more. BUT once in there I can't take it back." and last but not least. I have had them on a 20/4 light schedule BUT I have everything plugged into same power strip. Exhaust, and circulating fan. Should I leave the circulating fan powered up to stir some air around during the 4 hr dark period ? maybe the little girls are getting stuffy during those 4 hrs ? hell I don't know Just trying to make them happy. LOL One more are they going to be ok in the 16oz solo cups for another week (the time for the lime to do it's thing.) Thanks for staying with me Squid I really do OWE YOU ONE. just let me know if I can help you out in some way. What goes around - comes around. I live in the south close to ocean and got a nice boat if ya wanna go fishing sometime, :peace:

Allo allo man. I have always read 1Tablespoon of the lime per gallon. Mix it all up good before filling the pots then water the whole pot as we've been doing. Water activates the lime and it takes a few days, maybe more. They should be fine in the 16Oz cups until the transplant. I forget, are these Fem beans?

And in the future I recommend starting in 32Oz. cups. Less to worry about as far as nutes and root space in my opinion, but we're good on this run. I used to use 16Oz. cups and changed to 32Oz. And now just recently I have decided to stop doing that altogether. It's final pot from Stage 1 for me now. And all Reg beans too. When the males show I just pull em, no big deal. Some people just don't want to use that much space and mix for the chance of males. Anywho...

Only put your lights on the 20/4 schedule. Your plants still need the air exchange and ventilation w/carbon filter and all 24 hours a day. Some folks have variable speed controls on their fans that would cut the speed/power down when the lights go out, but most don't. I don't, my fan is on all of the time unless I am home and check it and see otherwise. Lights are 20/4.

Here is FD's schedule for feeding Autos with FoxFarms nutes. Check it out. Scroll down to Post #5 HERE.

No owing necessary dude, glad I can help. I might be close to the South and I love boats but I don't fish or eat fish, thanks though. :D

OK This is funny, I was reading FD's feeding guide when I saw your answer come in so We are on the same page. Great minds think alike. :bong: wow just a table spoon of lime per gallon, ok I will mix soil from both pots together again and use 3 tablespoons tomorrow when I get home. then separate back into the 2 pots and water them down until I get run off. I will check pH then and after it sits a couple days I will get run off reading again. I didn't see someone mention it was 32oz cups until my wife bought the 16oz like I asked her to. I didn't even know they came in 32oz size and when I mentioned it to her she said she wondered why I was using small ones.
I will also change set up so JUST THE LIGHT GOES OFF and my fans stay on. :list: I will add a small amount of the grow big tonight just before lights go out and see how they are doing tomorrow. I have a good feeling :dance2: that between fans staying on at night and the little nutes we are going to see good things. MUCHO GRASSY ASS my friend. :peace:
PS: nothing like a ride about 20 to 30 miles out into the deep blue sea where clear, clean, blue water is. Turning on some good tunes and sparking up a phat one and just soak in all nature has to offer. :smokebuds:

Now that sounds great! :smokebuds: Green karma sent your way friend. :dance2:

I have a problem finding the bigger cups too. They were styrofoam, which is fine, but I'd rather have plastic for the durability. But as I said before, now I go final pot so no more cups or transplanting for this Squid!

Yes when these finish I might try one more in a cup then maybe str8 to pots. BAD NEWS I just dropped my pH meter and broke the little diode so I have to order a new one. &^^%$^%%$

Hey Wiley, are you able to get pro-mix? either BX or HP, if so I recommend it for use in a future grow, it's around $35-40 a bale which is pretty cheap, I usually mix in an organic pellet fertilizer and have had good results, its very basic, just water as needed and mix in some fert to the top soil once a month

We(as in him) have been looking all over for the Promix. That's the first mix I told him. And that's what I use too. No one seems to carry it in his area though. Or just haven't found it yet. :D

And damn dude! Sucks about your Ph meter. Gotta be careful with those bad boys.

Yes I will keep looking as this grow continues. I am fortunate to live where I can get to 2 other states within 35 miles either way So I will keep looking. LOL My wife might kill me BUT until I get it all figured out, she can just get over it. I will have the Miracle gro Organic mix, FFOF and then a bale of Pro Mix and 2 itty bitty plants LMAO.
well With the first little dose of nutes I was hoping to open the tent when I got home tonight and see some monsters hollering FEED ME :jaw: but NOPE still just the same 2 lil girls looking back at me as if to be saying OH NO it's the fool thats trying to kill us  LOL

Organic nutes sometimes take 2-3 days to make obvious changes. Hang in there man.
So you foundvthe Promix or you're just saying in theory? Haha
Yup. We all deal with wives and gf's. Well a lot of us do at least. I gotta keep my wife happy too.

My Girls sing "Killing me softly with his touch"

Unfortunately I was speaking in theory :D well I am confused some of it looks good but some of it likes POOP :scope: Oh and by the way they are fem. I did get the Lime I didn't get by store yesterday, so I just finished mixing in the lime and put the mixed soil back into the final containers. I put a rush on my pH meter so It should be here tomorrow so I can check the soil then, BUT until then look at my poor babies I don't know if they are gonna make it to the big pots. After I post this I will read in the hospital and see if I can tell what is wrong with them, it is some sad pics I hope ya'll don't kick me out for putting crap like this on the site, compared to all the sweet looking plants all you guys put up. Don't worry I am not discouraged but determined.
