New Grower WileyWilly's NL Virgin grower

OK Boss, I got it. I was just saying XXX as referring to any number like in a Algebra equation where x could be any number. But as always you have answered what I was thinking, I do not want to adjust my water going in just to make my numbers coming out correct. I want to stick to the 6.5 -7.0 in like you say and we will see what we get in another day or so. I have a confession, I am going to continue with our plan for one of them, but on the one with the string I just want to experiment. I was reading some stuff about the FF Nutes and it says specifically using FFOF just use there feeding schedule and watch the majik happen (Yea Right) but curiosity is getting the better of me, and it is stunted already for sure so what the heck I only wanted one to start with. So I mixed one of the buckets with just the FFOF and perlite and put the one that had the string in there. Here is what I found. The roots were STUCK to the bottom of the cup and it would not come out. I was as gentle as I could be but I can only imagine the stress I just put that beotch through. LMAO Like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It was also pretty dry as I was saying. I can't seem to keep the little cups moist enough. I have been watering every day might skip a day here and there but almost everyday and it was still a little dry and roots glued to the bottom of that small cup. I can only imagine what the other is like. so I hope we can get that lime to do it's thing, I am keeping it pretty most like you said so the lime will dissolve and do it's thing. I also am going to give it a lil more of the Big Bloom today as well as the one I put in the big pot. LMAO after that transplant I bet a buck that this going to kick the bucket LOL. Thanks again Squid. Like you said I think we can still get the other one to give me a little something when we get the soil right.

PS: I have already learned so much it is sure different than just reading about it. Thanks again

Anytime dude. I don't blame you for wanting to do that. Ya never know what could happen. :D

Good luck man. :D

Before transplanting give your plants a water so they are moist but not soaked, that's usually what I do for outdoor, seems to shock them less and it'll help slide the plant out from the cup as well :smokebuds:

I thought he was just going to tier those, but I guess not. Not knocking your approach at all, Doc, but I find that if they're a little on the dry side they pop out real easy. If they're wet then they fall apart in my experience. Either way, if there is a decent root system in should hold together.

I just transplanted two gals outside today! :dance2:

The Squid Good Luck on those you just put outside. May the ganja fairy keep an eye on them for you. And I did tier both of mine but the cup inside the cup was stuck. When I tried to remove it the whole cup was just sliding up the stalk like a trombone. The roots had attached to the very bottom cup. SO I know I shocked the heck out of it But we will see. Please don't hate me for straying away from the plan, but I just did it on the one. We are still good on the other. The soil is good and damp almost wet even to get that lime to working. I did good today and left that pot alone, I only added a lil more water to it. I have not even checked pH in that one for 2 days now. I'll check it tomorrow afternoon and see if the lime has done it's thing yet. But like you said and I read today sometimes it can take a week for those pellets to start breaking down. :peace:

Thanks dr. Purple I wish I had some common sense (I feel like a politician) maybe when I noticed roots were stuck to bottom of cup a lil moisture probably would have done a whole lot better than dry pulling them. ANOTHER lesson learned. It will have to go better second time around cuz I sure am messing this up. I am so glad The Squid is holding my hand or they would have been killed already. Thanks for stopping by.

Sounds good dude. Always remember patience. They're plants and sometimes you just have to let them do their thing and don't fester so much.

Not saying it works for everyone but I am telling you...Basically as soon as I started taking a more stepped back approach with growing I have had much better success. I got the idea from my Male Box. I made a seperate box with just a couple T5s to grow my males out until I could collect the goods. It's literally a cardboard box with slits near the bottom of each side for intake and a small crappy fan taped to the side to pull air out. The 'top' is just another square of cardboard ot doesn't seal whatsoever. It looks like a joke. So I put my males in there(or used to). I would forget to water them, they had low light, I never ever.checked Ph in or out and they are to date my best Canna plants grown! Haha! Male Master here. I have plenty of.different pollens stored from those runs so I don't bother with males for now.

So I just started to 'care a little less'(but not really) and not being so OCD about the grow and I've been doing much better. :D

That sounds like probably some of the most important advice I am going to get. I am picking up what your putting down, Understood. No more being OCD for me. At least I am going to try like hell. Well here is the situation today. I decided to go ahead and do a run off check on the final pot for the second girl. I put 6.5 in got 6.3 out diff of .2 subbed from 6.3 gives me 6.1 right ? It is getting closer. :booya: so here comes the OCD. We both agree that these small cups are NOT GOOD. I need to get her out of that small cup. So I am thinking (danger danger he is thinking again) The soil is heading in the right direction, the small cups have to be depleted of anything good as well as no more root room. So it might be OK or even better to go ahead and get the lost lonely girl in that bigger pot. even though pH is still just a hair off it should come up a little more in the next couple of days as those lime pellets break on down. What you think master, am I on the right track ? I will wait for a response before I proceed though. I will post a pic when I do transfer. BTW it looks like the last leaves that where browning on the other plant might be getting color back since I put it in big pot yesterday. You can tell me what you think when you see pics. :peace:

Awesome dude! Sounds like your lime is activated now. Go ahead and transplant!

In the final pots day 20

Well for day 20 They still look puny BUT I think thats is from those itty bitty cups.
Now I think they will start doing better I watered with 4ml of big bloom in a pint (160z) of bubbled 6.5 pH water after I put them in the pots. If I can get the right pic it looks like some of the leaves that were browning are turning green or it is wishful thinking. anyway I left them alone today and might have to add some more water tomorrow or day after. I want them to use all the water that's there before I water again correct ?
