...I hear that works too, and see it here often enough to assume it's safe for auto's; lottsa ways to smoke'm, G'! Sticky traps/cards are fine for fliers, but of course, do nuth' for those lodged in the soil (larvae feed on roots, little douch-bugs!!....) Commence to killin' with whatever's handy/on sale!

has anybody else ever had bugs that look like that? some people are saying fungus gnats, some people saying aphids or thrips

either way ill lay down some sticky traps and get some spray its just i want to make sure i properly identify them..its confusing cause earlier i was on the floor scrubing a stain and i swear i saw the same things outside my grow area just walking on the floor by my vents so im confused where exactly theyre coming from or what they eat and stuff

You're killin' me Fweedom! (LOL!) Muddy said so, and so does this biologist... the tell is the large-ish, thick antennae, and the body shape (close to a thrip, but there are distinctions), and the fact that you're finding adults in the soil... thrips are plant surface dwellers- top/bottom of leaves, stems; only pupating larvae drop into the soil to hatch into adult phase; eggs are laid on/in plant tissues otherwise, thrips don't feed on roots either (but soil gnat larvae do)...Aphids, not even close (they're rounder, plumper) You have soil (fungus) gnats! Never mind what the guessing game is elsewhere, okay? Your pic was good and clear! Besides, the stuff I recommended will kill ALL of them, broad spectrum, regardless.... :twist:

can i apply these do seedlings less that a week old? i basically have some plants almost ready to harvest, some in veg, and some like 3 days old and id like to be safe and hit them all with some dunks..how much per gallon should i add also? thanks a lot bro! :smokebuds:

I've not used dunks personally, but like I said they're used by other growers here... Look and see if there's something in the sick plant section, or organics, on dosage, etc.,; I think I've seen them used at pretty much any stage,.... the other products, just follow package directions...

you crumble them on the surface and water in mosquito dunks. wiped out my gnats is 1 week. They are non toxic and can be used any times. They Release BT bacteria which disrupt the larval stage of gnats.

Those are root aphids not regular aphids please read this: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=159960 and then nuke those f'ers into orbit.

ok guys well in a little bit i will go get some mosqiuto dunks and sand and will apply that to my plants. just curious anybody heard of springtails?

im curious about these cause sometimes when i see one of the bugs crawling around ill try to smush it with my finger but i never can cause it seems to like jump out of the way and i heard springtails jump around some too.

please dont think im disregarding the previous advice, i can and will get dunks and sand today maybe even some fox farms "dont bug me" im just curious if anybodys ever had springtails and how those compare to what i have :smokebuds:

springtails are not known to be harmful is what I found out. I had some when I was flushing my last crop that were in the pan under the pot jumping around in the runoff water so I looked them up...but that thing is weird looking for sure

dude did the springtails that you found in the pan look like the ones from the pic i took? that pic is from one sitting in the clear tray under my pot too :smokebuds:
