So hello to everybody. I am a first time grower and I'm running a hydro setup with rockwool top dressed with hydroton. Using the AN line with a tea. The lighting is 400watt HID. These are some day 19 shots.



These are Lefty and Righty.

Righty is a bit small because I just had a go around with root slime and she lost about half her root mass. She is just about recovered and should start growing faster in the next couple days. The tea I used was based on Heisenbergs tea with some substitutions namely Great White and Carboload.

Lefty didn't catch the root slime so I got lucky in that regards still both plants are innoculated.

I started nutes at quarter strength 2 weeks ago then last res change the strength was upped to half. In 3 days I'll try hitting them with full strength nutes.

welcome to AFN mate :styles rasta: good luck ,shout if you need help & maybe stay on 1/2 strength for a while with AN ... autos are sensitive & usually only get full strength in full bloom of close to finish ,if at all :Sharing One:

Hey thanks for the welcome. I was under the assumption that this strain was a heavy feeder which is why I have it going early. So far I'm showing no signs of burn and actually I'm showing a possible calcium deficiency. Both plants are throwing out some really nice white roots as well. Guess I could compromise and bump it up to 3/4 strength instead and see how they like it. I've also been adding Rhino Skin, B52, Voodoo Juice as well.

Day 21

Res Changed with 4 gallons water aprox 15ltrs

30ml each of GMB
30ml of B52
30ml of Rhino Skin
30ml of VooDoo Juice
20ml of CalMag
4 cups of Tea

PPM 1150
PH 6.0

Both plants have strong roots and root development appears to be ramping

up.

Will check the plants later to see how they adjust to their new resevoirs.

So today is day 23

I've added a gallon of stump tea to my plants and am brewing my next batch of tea.

I think next res change I will up the feed to 3/4 strength no nute burn as of yet on 1/2 strength.

I also think I see a couple of white hairs on my plants which is supposed to be a good thing yeah? I have pics so tell me what you think.

You can see that the Rhino Skin is really helping my plants beef up. I'll try and get some root shots in a couple days so far both plants seem to be thriving pretty well. just waiting on it to grow and do it's thing.

day 26 with pics.

Both plants are blowing up nice. Roots are developing and so far no signs of anything screwing up. In 2 days I will be swapping out the res and probably switching over to some kind of bloom schedule (hell if I know what ratios to give).

Day 28

Res change and switch over to bloom ratio

Going to start with a 1-2-3 ratio for now and see how that works out

Res changed PH at 5.6
PPM's 800-900 with just macro nutes and 1050-1100 with all the addatives.
3 gallons per res figured out to about 11ltrs

11ml of Grow
22ml of Micro
33ml of Bloom
22ml of Carbo Load
22ml of Rhino Skin
15ml of CalMag
22ml of VooDoo Juice
22ml of B52
1/2 tsp of Great White
4 cups of Tea

I'm trying the carbo load directly in the res again. I'm hoping this time that with using the tea and the shot of Great White and Voodoo Juice the pathogens if any are present won't be able to gain a foothold. I'm not sure if the macro nutes are in the correct ratio or not I guess time will tell.

good luck to you.I just use a 1part nute system in veg and flower.Floranova bloom.It has enough n to support strong veg growth and enough pk to support strong flowering.I do use madfarmers bloom,and silica as well as cal mag if ever needed but my water seems to not require it.

Let me know if you need any help Im pretty skilled when it comes to plant health and techniques just new to autos.If you throw a pic I can tell you what that issue is
