Yellow/brownish spots on my White Widow XXL

Hello guys,
I'm a total beginner.

My little plant is about 20 days old (started outdoors, but under the lights for ~2weeks).

Had a problem with some sort of bugs but I think I got rid of them.
But now one of my plant started to develop this yellowish-brownish spots. I am a bit worried because I have to leave them here for little bit more than a week.


What do you think what is it?

Hi Keszonos,

Thats a cal/mg deficiency right there. You need to make sure that your PH is in check and that you get yourself a calcium and magnesium supplement to go along with your nutrients.

i see on the second pic that the lower leafes have the same brown/yellow spots!? how are the upper leaves doing?
looks like some kind of small ph issue to mee.. did you check Ph?

I would not say she was attacked by insects.

Grim: isnt it odd that in a pretty early stage (and I think even my bigger plant is definetly smaller than it should be) she has cal-mg deficiency, knowing that I have an okay soil to start with? I'm a total beginner so probably just talking shit, but trying to learn.

I dont have a ph meter yet, but I guess I have to buy it now.

The thing is Keszonos , even if you have a good soil Autoflowers are always going to need extra cal/mg. They just seam to use a lot more of it, probably due to the extra amount of light they receive. The best time to to start using the supplement is from week 4 onwards. This also could be a PH related issue like mentioned above so having a PH meter on hand is a growers best tool and a plant life save.

Yeah then I thought about the cal-mag stuff and I remember that I came across 2-3 people on this forum who said this WWXXL is very CAL thirsty. So you are probably right sir.

I have to say I have no experience using a PH meter in a soil grow, but if this were coco id tell you all the same stuff that's been said here.

hey Kesz'... it does look like possible early Ca defc.,... buuuut....what bugs have you been seeing? I think I see a little thrip damage (small lighter color upper surface patches), but I'm not sure in these pics,... I ask because the others spots have a odd color ring around them, similar to piercing damage from some sap sucker bastard bug!-- maybe,... larger piercing damage can take a few days to really start showing as the tissue dies back,... Well, get some Ca-Mg going in any case,...

Just got back from work, this is the earliest time I can give them Ca. Tomorrow I have to buy the Mag.

Ca is 21% CaO
10% N.

How much should I give them?
