:smoking: Mr.A', if you're organic, as mentioned, there's no need to do a true flush, it's a stress that the plant doesn't need,... super saturating the soil like that is something of a risk-benefit thing, after all you're technically overwatering the hell out of her, right? (side note: Cervantes recommends any flushing be done within 20min., so as to not start suffocating the plant with longer period saturated soil; it's hinders gas exchange badly in soil especially)... heavy synthetic feeding needs it to purge built up salts, and so it's necessary to make for quality smoke,...but you don't have this in organic-

... Flushing is literally just that, pouring through at least 3x the pot volume, (Cervantes recommends several; I think it depends on how heavily you've been feeding, how much run-off each time,..).. think of the soil as coffee in a filter cone... things get more concentrated as they drain through the bottom, so when flushing, you're technically rinsing the soil out, and that needs a lot of water to do,... redissolving, diluting, and physically moving all the excess out... this is where a flush/clearing agent product can help; they aid in knocking loose particle-bound nute elements more effectively than water alone... Cleansing, at least for convention's sake here at AFN, refers to a period of time prior to harvest that uses just watering alone, no nutes al all,... some still use a clearing agent during this time once or twice, but again, with organics, don't bother, a few days of just water will be fine...
When harvesting, IMO it's the trichomes that do most the talking,.. leaves and pistils can be helpful gauges too,, but there can be a fair amount of variation in them... with trich's, clear is immature; cloudy is ripe and prime; amber is past prime, at least for THC content, and often terpenes.... the color comes from the degradation of THC into CBN, a cannabinoid the plant does not make on it's own, only by THC breakdown... it's what, in part, gives the narcotic "sleepies" effect,... folks like this to variable degrees, entirely personal,.... depends on the strain, Sativa/Indica balance, and how you like your buzz! When assessing trichs, look at bud trich's, not leaf, and check several places on the plant for a better overall evaluation,... personally, I take my girls at 10-15% amber, since more ripening happens after harvest and cure, and I don't want everything to be so dopey, especially my sativa types... gotta keep that uppy-buzz! So, look at her daily, so see how fast the changes in trich color are happening, and make you best guess about harvest date,.. you have better flexibility with organic on this... I think Overdrive is unnecessary at this point, and if you use it, you'll have to let it work and get used up for several days... not like you buds are lacking in bulk! So, use what we say here to gauge things,... if you're a new grower, don't get cute with things, be conservative and more careful until you have more experience,...
.... It's not unusual to have seed-born plants ripen at different times, all others thing equal,... plenty of factors can influence individual plants!
@oldcoot -- breeder grow/harvest times are typically stated with optimal conditions and earliest harvest times (minimal amber) in mind,... so take them as estimates only, though some hold true...
