Hey guys.

I have a 7 week old DP Star Ryder on the go at the moment. This is only my 3rd ever grow. The first was also Star Ryder and the 2nd Think Different. With this grow however i have brought a Grow Northern ms0004 whereas i had a 125w cfl for the first 2 grows.

With the first 2 grows everything was fine and i had no problems but with this one the leaves have all of a sudden started to go a light green/yellowish colour with a lot of the tips of the leaves with a small yellow tip and a few of the lower leaves going completely yellow.

From what i have read etc it seems that it may be some kind of N deficiency but some things say too much N and some say to little so i thought id check before doing something as i dont want to make things worse.

I have a John Innes compost and have used canna veg and canna flower nutes with rhizotonic at first. This is the same as the first 2 grows so im guessing its something to do with having the different, albeit far better light.

Other than this the plant seems to be far bigger than my last star ryder and far more buds developing etc which i guess is due to having the better light

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Im gonna go and try to get a photo of it now to see if this helps

Here's some pics hopefully

I wouldn't worry to much at this point because there nearing the end and yellow leaves are normal.Keep your PH right and check your trychomes ,they will tell you where your at.

im only just over 1 week int flowering phase though.

I have a similar thing on the 7th week of flower and I looked here and thought it was a zinc problem.

But as you say its confusing and seem like they are a lot of the same thing.

Was gonna give it some Pk 13-14 but the Green Sensation I'm using says not to use them together.

So I put it in the bath and run the shower threw the soil til it was clear ( I know its soil, but you can see the difference) then I put it back in the tent.
The next day I mixed some of the root stimulant I was using in veg.

Seem to have done the job or certainly slowed it down.

Do you guys measure ph?

If you water with untreated tap water with unknown ph, it might be very, very wrong. Might be, because tap waters around the world are not comparable at all. Some are good, some like poison for plants.

Melki- I'm digging into it more,... I don't like what I see on those upper-most leaves,.. see the yellowing between the diagonal veins? This is indicative of an immobile nute's defc., or a more advanced defc. of something semi-fully mobile,... and this patten is a common overlapping symptom.... Some of that lower leaf yellowing is normal, but it's a bit early in flowering for her to be eating leaves just yet, so she needs something,...likely Mg, though Zn is a more remote possibility... meantime, follow Nammy's advise, get her a Supp' Mg source, and some fert's....
*** further digging has my head spinning,... quality sources are conflicting on Zn mobility within the plant, but the majority claim it as immobile (or poorly so). So, to cover bases both ways here, find a supplemental product that has Zn in it,...often, Zn is linked to other metal deficiencies,..Fe, Mn... I found the best way to deal with metal nute's defc. is with a combo foliar spray and soil drench, using a product that has multi-metals in it; GreenAll makes a liquid that has Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu in it, so there's no guessing!
