I have 4 ak-48 (photo) in 6 liters airpot and 2 in 3liters AP.

They are from day 4 to day 14 in bloom and today i checked my ph.

Ph going in was 6.5 and ph out 6.8 i all 6liters pot, and 6.5in 6.9out in the smaller pots.

That means ph in soil in 6liters pot is 7.1 and in the smaller pots 7.2, right?

What to do?

Should i bring down my water/fed to 6.3 for the next couple of weeks to slowly bring ph closer to 6.3-6.5 or what is my next move?

Peace Justin

yep... calcs are about right... might even be a might higher...

get it down ASAP... but dont overdo it....

Flush with 3X the pot' volume with ph'ed water at 6.3

confirm at the end of this by measuring runoff again.. :toke: :soil:

then.. feed as you normally would with ph'ed food water..

You are correct, your not really bad now but lowering a couple points can't hurt.:peace:

I really dont wanna flush them right now because i just repotted them in to real good guanokalong-soil and if flush now wont i be flushing away all the great stuff in the soil as well? The plants look really good right now... They have been in the new soil for 16days and ive only been giving them water and my plan was to continue to do so for 2-3 more weeks then start feeding them.

Seems like a waste of good soil to be flushing at this point, or am i totally wrong?

ph vs uptake.gif

I hear ya mate... but I'd correct it... it pays long term...

I am not in JM's league, but I am 100% sure I he is sterring you right. You may lose some nutes, but that is better than less buds IMO.

don't matter how good your soil is, if you'r ph is out, you'r locking out all the "good" stuff.....

Ok then JM bud i will do a flush tomorrow after work.

But i did a flush for plants i had in 1liters pot where ph in was 6.5 and 6.9 out, i gave them 3liters of 6.3 and still got an 6.9 out, thats why i am i little worried about the whole flushing thingie....
What would you recomend for bringing my ph down? Citrus or ph down i got at home right now. I usally uses citrus to lower my ph...

Thanks all you guys for helping me out.

Justin

Rough Calculation Guide:
Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5
