Sweet Seeds Yozhik grows Crystal Candy Auto & Blow Mind Auto

Hey, it's all a learning curve my friend.
:pighug:

If I was you [which I'm not - but if I was], I'd throw the Sun System in there too.
That 150W extra can't do any harm, and is likely to do noticeable good.
If you were me, how would you set up both lights? HPS over them and T5 set up vertically? Keep in mind I dont have a tent or any reflective material.

Search here for brands that keep coming up time and time again.
Work out your budget. Find the one that gives you the most bang for your buck.
Thanks, I'll be heading to a local grow shop tomorrow, and will let you know what pH my well water is when i finally check!

If you learn nothing else from my rantings, let it be this ... pH is probably the most crucial of the foundation stones of growing.
Get it right, you will be rewarded.
Get it wrong, your plants will punish you harshly and without mercy.
All hail the pH gods!

COMMENTS:

Sooooo ... then THIS happened ...

The teenagers have made their way into the BIG tent.
The substitutes remain in the Nursery Tent.

They're now in their final homes - 30 litre pots with Canna Terra Professional PLUS -with the thought process being to run a lighter nute schedule, with Base Nutes, plus cherry picked supplements.

Temp is going to be an issue.
It always is here in summer.
Already having to run the A/c, with only 2 x 600W lights on.
It's going to be balls to the wall if I turn more on.

Without the A/c, temps with 2 lights was running around 29°C
Too high for my liking - at the uper end of the sweetspot, and gives me zero headroom.
With the A/c on LOW setting, and with the intake ducting from the Extractor sucking in directly from the cooled A/c air, temps are manageable at around 27°C
That is likely to get lower as the ambient temp of the room outside the tent also drops.

To assist even further, 'lights out' will be during the hottest part of the day.
Right now its a case of monitoring the environment to dial the tent in.
Humidity is under control.
Plants are looking comfortable.
Let the games commence!

I feel like I'm hanging on by my fingernails.
Plants look good - seem to have had zero issues with the transplanting and relocation into the big girls' tent.
Temps, etc are "under control", but only just.
I feel I am one tiny mishap away from disaster.
Maybe just a hint of paranoia from last summer's nightmare.

I HATE running the A/c continuously.
The electricity consumption is horrendous.
May as well just take any cash I have and burn it.
Pretty much the same end result.

Anyway ... two are still in the Nursery Tent - doing well.
Here are the pics of the teens and their new homes.

Looking lovely.
9 plants under 2 x 600 W -- it's going to have a heavy weigh in at the end.
All the best!

Soon to be 12.
There are 3 substitutes for non-germies, about 1 week behind, getting ready to step up to the big league.

It's slightly scaled down from my usual 16 plant, 4 x 600W grows.
Wanted to scale back and simplify this time.
Didn't need the additional stress.
And didn't want to go through hand watering 16 plants again!!

Teens seem happy enough.
Gave them a simple feeding of just Advanced Nutrients Bloom A + B base nutes + House & Garden Excelerator.
Healthy green colour.
Seems to be under control ... for now.

4 x 600W is a hot little operation, my friend.
How much space you cover? 4 m2? 1 m2 / 600W?

This is a testing time!

Temps outside are insane.
Last couple of days have been knocking on 40°C
And there's no hiding from it.
At one point yesterday afternoon, the car - in the garage, in the shade, zero direct sunlight - was showing 44°C.
Inside the house at 11pm at night, its over 30°C.
The BASEMENT, where the grow room is, shows 28°C ambient room temp.

So keeping a Grow Tent, with lighting "in the zone", is an act of scientific wonder I am struggling to get on top of.
To be honest, if I can keep the Grow Tent temps anywhere around the 30°C mark, I consider it a victory!
FFS - the plants are being spoilt with cooler temps than I am!
Might not be too long before I end up sleeping in the Grow Tent, to try and escape the heat!

Next week isn't looking any different.
The lowest maximum temps for the 7 day forecast is around 33°C, but mostly around 36-38°C
Doesn't look like letting up anytime soon ... AND IT'S NOT EVEN THE HOTTEST MONTHS OF SUMMER YET!

Holy snapping duck shit, we still have to navigate July and August.
We might be re-enacting Hades here before too long.
