It's that time again ...

New 'seedling' setup.
Using the 1.2 x 1.2 drying tent instead of the larger 3 x 2 grow tent.
Also changed from the 600W HPS, to a 250W CFL @ 6500k.

Energy consumption should be noticeable, and probably temp control along with it.
That's the theory ...

That was quick!! ... first signs of life this morning.

All three Crystal Candy Auto babies emerged from their soily womb, seemingly healthy and ready to live life.

So to recap, seeds were soaked in tap water for approx. 36 hours.
Then put onto a moist paper towel, which was then placed into a sealed bag to retain humidity for approx. a further 36 hours.
Both the water immersion and paper bag were placed in a cupboard for both darkness and temp consistency.

After this 72 hours of waterboarding, seeds had been coerced to give up their tap root, and were placed into small seedling pots.
Pots were filled with Bio-Bizz Lite, which had been generously imbibed with tap water, which had been laced with a tiny dash of Root Excelerator, just to give them a kick start.

From there, they were given a dose of Mother Nature's best Spanish sunlight for about 8 hours, before being taken indoors into their new tent home, where they now reside. [See. Previous photos]

So ... onto the Crystal Candy Auto baby photos.

FYI ...

Forgot to mention the seedling tent has a tiny, tiny inline extractor fan, simply to gently recirculate the air.
Well, tiny tiny compared to the behemoth in the main tent.

Tent temperature seems ridiculously stable at 23ºC [+/- 0.2ºC]
So stable in fact, I had to clear the memory of the hygrometer to make sure it was actually working.

Humidity is dancing around the RH50%.
I'd like it a touch higher for the babies, but not complaining.

Hmmm ... mixed emotions today.

Crystal Candy Auto have all shown themselves and look as I would expect them.
So it tells me the germination process and tent environment 'work' OK.
Blow Mind Auto are absent - all 3 of them still below soil, which is a bit worrying.

They were given identical germination treatment.
So I'm a bit miffed as to why the Blow Mind babies haven't made an appearance.

I'll give them a couple more days, but if they don't show, I'll have to go to Plan B and throw some other seeds [as yet unknown] into the water jar.

Anyway, time to check out the healthy Crystal Candy Auto babies ...
