Were they completely dried before smoking them? Cause I have had one or two strains that I smoked fresh buds and it doesn't get you high, but when they dried, the same strain kicked my ass!

Guys relax.. relax i totally realized the problem after smoking a little goodness :brow: It's one of two things.
- You have amazing bad luck.. you broke a mirror didn't you..? or didn't throw the salt over your left shoulder?
- You've been cursed, i'm guessing a lone gypsy has affected your green thumb with some type of witchcraft, i advise you seek them and remove this rather odd power!

Do you handle your buds a lot during harvest? Do you use a trimmer or hand trim?
Ye properly dried and cured for two weeks before smoking then continue curing as smoked.
Ye, probably, i did notice some little silver trails leading out of the growbox ... ;+}

I chop off bud sticks and then trim them by hand, holding the stalk and wearing surgical gloves. I'm careful with the handling.

If it was every plant you grew things might be easier to explain. But given the fact that these dud plants are grown and cured with others that come out fine, it's just baffling. The only thing I can draw a parallel to was some weed that my dad had stored away years ago. He found it stashed in the back of a cabinet and when we cracked it open, it smelled and tasted great. It was dried out, but still sticky inside when you cut up a bud. Everything was nice except you got zero effect when smoking it. I kept it and went back to it several times because it just didn't make sense that it had no potency, but finally gave up. We had no idea how long it was stored but could only assume that it was old age that killed it. Neither here nor there since you're dealing with fresh bud, but just throwing that out there.
Maybe try water curing some of the crap bud to see if it helps? Grasping at straws here...

It is a really odd problem, as you say, because all of them have the same environment and inputs.
It's also odd that it doesn't seem to be happening to anyone else.
The starryder grow really pissed me off, a great little auto, heavy yielder, it all looked great :
4 ounces from 4 plants in 2L pots, all the other guys on the forum (a UK forum) were growing starryder too and said it was a lovely smoke but only two of the plants had any effect and it wasn't very strong, but the other guys had a great smoke from the same strain!
Anyway, some great growers here so if you guys don't know then i sure can't figure it out.
