Completed April Fool’s Magical Mystery Drop

901239F3-AE5B-4A9A-B831-B7832655DF37.jpeg
I’ve been digging thru old stock and found a bunch of seeds all mixed up in one of my older containers.
I decided to drop a handful on a lark, I’m waiting on some new seeds and I needed to keep my year long monthly drop stagger going so I said what the heck.
I ended up with 4 lil sprouties, popped up on April 1.
gonna treat em like all the rest, coco loco and megacrop. Cobs and qbs.

Introduction and Catchup

We’ve got a handful of mystery beans going for the April drop. They are 3 weeks old today and here’s a little about the drop.

Strains-unknown, I’m pretty sure with my luck they’re all different. Ive picked one that I will focus on thru the grow
Medium- 3gal rootmakers with coco loco
Nutes- megacrop for base, Epsom as add on and flower fuel for bloom boosting.
Lights- started under 65w autocob and now under 150w quantum board.

Easy grow so far, a couple feeds and some light defoliation.
1 of the gals does seem to be way more vivacious than the others so she might get trained, therest will grow up natural.
that pretty much catches us up to speed and going forward there will be regular weekly updates added as pages.

Week 3

01B20C74-D5EB-4038-BE60-8A28EF3CA6A3.jpeg
The gals hit week 3 today and things are proceeding as planned.
a couple of them are lagging behind a bit, kinda a little pale to start but everyone seems to be in good shape these days.
good color and structure this far.
they’re getting .5tsp of megacrop and .5tsp Epsom with every watering now and I’ll up both to 3/4tsp a little farther into veg.
that’s about all there is to note so far.
catch ya next week with the next update

Week 4

We’ve hit week 4 and these gals seem to be doing fine! The other mystery gal is being tortured under a screen atm and is in the real fugly stage lol so no pics.
lots of good side branching growth and as of yet no sign of sex so I’m hoping to get some more good veg time out of em before we hit the stretch.
feeds the same, megacrop and Epsom.
catch ya next week with the next update!

Week 5 in the Stretch

3DEEFBFA-4AD4-43FB-8B40-2A0EA15EF59C.jpeg
We’ve hit week 5 with this round of ragamuffin mystery seeds and everything is moving along swimmingly.
everyone is still mostly healthy with some good structure and it looks like all the babbers are spitting pistils and moving into bloom.
The gal I put under the screen is looking especially nice and gives me hope that I got it put down in time.
All the branches have turned back towards the light and she’s trying to stack a few more nodes before bloom.
catch ya next week with the next update!

Week 7 In Bloom

FB45B5A3-15E1-4001-999F-62783D394F28.jpeg
We’ve hit week 7 with the April fools day gals and I’m pleased as punch.
everyone is budding and just healthy as can be which makes me a happy gardener.
I have defoliated a bit and lollipopped the bottom scruff branches. Hopefully that’ll help encourage some thicc cola type buds.
this week was the first feed with bloom booster so the feed thru the rest of the grow should be megacrop, flower fuel, and Epsom.
easy peasy lemon squeezy my friends!

Week 8 mid bloom

F3A7B9EC-DE50-4236-A67E-D9D911FAF97C.jpeg
The mystery gals are just chugging along and have crossed the week 8(day 56) mark.
they are healthy green and the buds are trying to stack.
Im not great with light distance yet so we have a bit more spread between nodes than I’d like but everything on the plant is dense. I’ve been lolipopping lowers and scruff to keep em tight.
That’s really all we have to allow, at this point in the grow everything is on cruise control until the chop.
mom estimating 3-4 weeks and they’ll be coming down!
Enough chatter let’s get to the stars of the show!

Week 9 in bloom

B2D3EB4A-F232-46D1-820D-866AEC3DB551.jpeg
Week 9 has come and gone and the gals are starting to wrap up.
it looks like I can start chopping 1 a week here in the next couple of weeks and I’m excited about that.
everyone’s frosty, lots of weird disparate smells wafting outta the tent and we are just on cruise control till the chops.

Week 10 and chops start in t-minus 1 week

96FA28E4-A337-40CA-939D-F0DDEEEBC08E.jpeg
Week 10 and we have a chop so close I can taste it.
First plant to come down has an earthy spicy smell to it.
If I were going to wax poetic about it I’d say it reminds me of a wassail, warm earthy spicy like nutmeg/cinnamon.
then take that smell and just smother it in green dank weed smell.
first plant to get the chop will go down into the basement for some dark time and then gets the wack, should be going down Friday.
next couple of weeks should see 2-3 more chops, hooty hoo!

Week 11 and the first couple of chops

E7518936-70CF-4E38-9E69-95F0CA80C235.jpeg
We’ve hit week 11 and the first couple of the four gals got chop.
this baby came down on day 71, so a barn burner.
she’s hanging on the line in the closet now, pribs got a couple more days before we can sample and jar it up.
The other 3 gals are looking sweet and the next comes down in week 12.
last 2 should come down week end of week 12 to week 13.

Ours is literally just to change possession under an ounce to where it would be a max $500 fine and no chance of jail time! That’s if our sorry Lt Governor even puts the bill up to be heard and voted on in the senate! Last session in 2019 he claimed it went against his religion and wouldn’t even hear it! :cuss::cuss:
