Wassup peeps!
If you are reading this, thank you!
We appreciate the company, and as always if there are any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Welcome to the final blog entry for our “Staggering thru ‘21, Vol 1” Blog.
our plan to drop and chop something every month this year has gone splendidly and we are still on track to achieve that personal mini goal!
Have no fear, the stagger and blogging won’t be slowing down any time soon, I just want to break up ‘21 into the 2 blogs.
Mostly for my own nerdy sake lol, but ostensibly it’s so I can keep everything tidy as far as my notes and such. Going to add a random section or two in the next blog to cover some training and stuff like that.
anywho back on track.
Forbidden Runtz from the fine folks at Fast Buds popped on June 13.
there are a couple other seeds from fb down and when they pop I’ll more than likely just fold them into this entry.
thanks again for stopping by and I’ll have the introduction page done up shortly.

Week 1 and we have our full complement

Welcome to week 1!
We had 2 other seeds pop so now we will be updating 3 plants each week.
the additional strains are both Fast Buds, Strawberry Pie and another Strawberry Banana.
they are technically only 4 days old but I’ll just fold their updates into the forbidden runtz weekly updates.
Week 1 not a lot to allow yet.
sprouts a good color and shape, hopefully all the magic is happening under the soil as we build roots.
the sprouts will get a soaking with recharge this week but we won’t start adding megacrop and Epsom into the mix for another week.
check back next week!

Week 2 and a culling

D51632C6-39D5-4833-9038-B7A64C2A69C7.jpeg
We’ve hit week 2 and already the garden has changed.
we culled straw ban 2 as it was exhibiting a couple different issues and this early in the grow there didn’t seem to be any chance of recovery that would be worth the time and space.
we note it and move on!
Forbidden runtz and straw pie are both healthy tho and on day 14 we started training forbidden runtz.
Straw pie hasn’t been touched yet, still undecided about training her, might let her go mostly natural.
both plants received their first feed with .25tsp/gal of megacrop to go with their recharge.
next week we will up the megacrop until it’s time to back off.
hopefully by the end of week 3 I’ll know whether I’m training straw pie or not, and forbidden runtz will be starting to take the shape I want.

Week 3 defol and training

BE7C75E0-C141-44A7-8ADF-17596AAA5CEE.jpeg
We’ve hit week 3(day 21) and Forbidden Runtz and her friends are doing the do.
Runtz has been showing some decently vigorous growth, even as I learn how to use my new light.
She and Strawberry Pie(day17-18) are healthy and have good shape so far.
they both received a good recharge soak, along with .5tsp/gal megacrop and Epsom.
Runtz had a swim sesh today and we removed lots of fans covering budsites.
I can also see the inside structure of the stems and can plan the training out a bit easier.
Hmmmm, not sure those are the best words to convey the specific idea there but it’s what I’ve got lol.
later this week I will be dropping a screen down onto runtz and then we can continue encouraging that good horizontal growth and structure.

Week 4, added fishsh!t to the feed

032D61E5-6B66-4EA9-BAB6-AF8E5FA78A07.jpeg
Week 4 is in the books and things are progressing rather well for the most part.
There was an accidental topping of the straw pie but she’s recovered and is mostly healthy if a lil small.
Only real change is the addition of fishsh!t soil conditioner from fish head farms.
Its working pretty darned well and I think it’s going to be a regularly used item in all my grows from now on.
Both plants are spitting some pistils now and I imagine the stretch will begin in ernest shortly.
Catch ya next week!

Week 5 Stretch

978F9232-A11B-4EB8-BC92-277289EC5A76.jpeg
We’ve hit week 5 and both plants, forb runtz and straw pie1, appear to be doing fantastic.
I would like to start learning how to dial in the environment a bit better and that’s something I’ll slowly start working on.
anywho the plants have taken to the training really well and the new feed routine seems to be doing them solid!
quick impression- goldleaf and even more so the fishsh!t seem to really be working well together.
plants are visibly growing and seem to be very vigorous.
shouls be another week to 2 of stretch and then hopefully we can continue the good vibes to a very fulfilling harvest.
forbidden runtz in particular has the look of a plant that wants to be ginormous.
catch you next week!

Week 6 stretch into bloom

2169888F-E246-416B-AA7D-12F85A1725F8.jpeg
Week 6 is in the books and both plants are getting beefy!
They have responded to the nute change, from megacrop to goldleaf/fishsh!t, and have taken to the training.
I am running a lil humidifier with the lights-on cycle to raise the rh and the plants seem to be responding favorably to that as well.
All in all these 2 have been a dream to grow so far.
now to finish strong and see if I can’t set a new personal best for single Plant yield!
Runtz might end up the heaviest plant I’ve grown, she’s got a real shot.

Skipped week 7, on to Week 8, mid to late bloom

EF751396-85E8-40D7-B5E1-DF8AF58CD9AF.jpeg
Forbidden Runtz and Strawberry Pie1 are cruising along to the finish.
both are looking good tho runtz is still showing a few more signs of stress, in particular some nute burn in the leaf tips.
I’m stepping back the goldleaf from 9ml/gal down to 6ml as the gals are close to the chop anyways.
All in all I am rather super pleased with both of these plants.
both are kicking off a different sort of sweetness when ya get in em and are just burly burly gals.

Skipping to the end- week 12

5BBEF44E-68A0-469E-9112-A8F0B034301D.jpeg
We’ve skipped a couple weeks, suffice to say this has been a great grow.
runtz came down on day 70, she got beat up by heat and light stress but still turned out.
she is in the grove bags curing currently, already has a very strong smell.
dark green weed and sweet/sour black licorice. Its wicked.
strawberry pie got the chop on day 82 and she is still hanging whole on the clothesline.
I’m not gonna list final weights or anything so boring, they’re heavy and that’s good enough for this dusty tome of a blog.
-special grow notes-
I have just started using a new-to-me nute combo and it’s been freaking fantastic.
goldleaf for my base nutes and fishsh!t/recharge for bennies/microbes.
the plants are just eating it up and I can tell a difference coming from megacrop.
A huge thank thank thank you to my friends at @Fast Buds Heather for the opportunity to run these gals!
