Where I am at currently

Alright friends. I just wanted to put a bit of background info about my setup out there real quick. I have two tents. A 3x3, and a 4x4. Originally I was planning to use the 4x4 only for drying, but I decided to put it to use.

Right now, I have one plant in each tent. I have a roughly 70 day old / day 28 flower OG Kush freebie from NASC in my 4x4, and a seemingly stunted 18 day old Purple Punch from Barneys farm in my 3x3. The OG Kush is under a Mars Hydro Hydro TSW 2000, 23 inches above the canopy, at 75% power. This gives me about 40 DLI. The Purple Punch is under a SF1000 and I didn't measure the distance but my measurements (just using a cheap phone app, but accurate enough for the time being) say that the plant is getting about 30 DLI. I'm running 18/6 on both plants, and the only big difference other than their age is the fact that the OG Kush is being grown in coco coir, while the purple punch is growing in soil. My purple punch is having a bit of a gnat problem, but I applied some DE to the medium of both plants and hopefully that can help. I also need to put sticky traps up tomorrow.

I have three dirty fabric pots which I am soaking in a vinegar and water solution, and will be potting up some new plants in the next couple days after the pots are done drying. I want to get some new plants potted up, one maybe two. If I do two plants it will be one Indica and one Sativa. If one plant then I will just do a Sativa After my OG Kush is harvested in probably 5 weeks I will be switching completely over to soil. Coco is far too much watering for my taste. When I pot up the cannabis plants, I'll also be starting several flowers. At least 6 Shasta Daisies, and no more than 3 lavender plants. These will go in whichever tent has open space.

As far as looking into the future of my garden, I will be away for a week or two in June and need to find a way to keep the plants watered. That's seemingly the biggest challenge moving forward.

Alright. Its been an interesting last couple days to say the least. My plant in coco started showing signs of lockout, so I flushed with a feeding of around 400ppm. Today is day I believe 32 of flower. For my smaller plant, its on day 21 from seed. The small plant is for sure stunted.

In my last entry, I had said I was soaking the fabric pots that I had already used, so I could pot up some new plants. Well this is still the plan but I have had to soak the fabric pots for a lot longer than I had hoped, more than likely due to how heavy I overfed my last plants. The first day I took my pots out of the water and vinegar solution, it looked like nothing even happened to them. Still the same amount of salt buildup. The water came out really murky though, you couldn't see even one inch down. I pitched the water and mixed up another vinegar and water solution. I gave this a good amount of agitation, let it sit, then agitated it again later in the day, and once again the next morning. Upon pulling the pots out, I noticed they did look significantly better, but still containing a lot of buildup. So then I decided to do the same thing, but this time in a mixture of water and baking soda. So I did that, and I pulled them out today. The water was much clearer, but still murky and one of the bags still has buildup. So, I'm soaking them until tomorrow morning in just water and then I will give them some agitation, spray them with the hose, and put them out to dry. As soon as they are completely dry, I will be planting 2 new plants.

Back to my two current plants, the small one was due to be top dressed today, but the medium is still a good moisture and does not need watered. I will be top dressing in 2 days when it is time to water. The small plant has shown a bit of growth, but its on day 21, and looks like a day 11 plant. I will be growing this to the end even if it is stunted though. As for my larger plant, it has not shown anymore discoloring or anything on the leaves nearly as bad as the other day. I cut off the effected leaves to make sure I would be able to spot anything new. I'll be posting some pictures in the post I make after watering and topdressing the small plant.

As a quick side note, my Northern lights from Growers Choice is starting to smell extremely skunky. It has 22 days left to cure, and I'll be so glad to try it out.

It has been a while since I have made any entries. I currently have 4 cannabis plants going, as well as an undetermined amount of daisies and lavender. My Og Kush is on day 50 of flower, and 92 total. That is in my 4x4. My purple punch is on day 39 total and in veg currently. My Critical Kush Auto is on day 9 and is a seedling, and I have a Sweet amnesia Haze that has been having a hard time sprouting. Currently not yet sprouted. If a few more days go by and it does not sprout, I will exhume it for examination. Those three plants are in a 3x3

In the same tent as the three smaller plants, is a planter tray with 36 slots. I split it 18/18 and put about 5 Shasta's in each of the 18, and 5 lavender in each of the 18. They were planted about 4 days ago, but several daises have already germinated, and a few sparse lavender.

I am thinking I will slow down on growing so many cannabis plants in the future, and focus on getting one auto to completely fill out my 3x3 with a SCROG net. I have heard you can yield upwards of one pound in a 3x3, so I would like to try to work on getting even canopy coverage to make sure I maximize the efficiency of my light.

Also of note, this OG Kush is the last plant I plan to grow in coco. I have heard several times that organic has better terps and flavor(seems like bro science but you never know) and not only that, but coco is becoming a bit of a pain to water by hand. For my situation, a plant in soil makes much better sense.

Going four months into the future, when all my plants should be harvested and dried. I plan to; take down my tents, clean the tents, the lung room, and take apart and clean all electronic equipment. I want to set my grow area up in a completely different way. Here's my plan; Run one or two plants in my 3x3 under a trellis net aiming for full canopy coverage, Adjust my lung room around so that I control the VPD of the lung room itself rather than the tents, working on improve my organic growing skills as well as ability to identify deficiencies. I also plan to either take my 4x4 down, or buy a light that would suit the 4x4. I have a tsw 2000 for my 3x3(300 true watts), and I impulse bought a 100 watt led to supplement the tsw, however in a 3x3 it doesn't need supplement, and should not even go at full power closer than 20 inches IME. Currently my Og Kush is in the 4x4 growing under the TSW2000, while my three small plants and the flowers are ALL using the 100 watts from the SF1000 2022 edition.

I will update again after enough time has passed that I have things to update about.
