I bought this harvest-time herb dryer based on recommendations after having some mixed results with the brown bag method due to environment, and it has been awesome to have. It is basically just a collapsible drying tube with mesh floors at each level, a charcoal filter at the top for odor elimination, and a small electric plug-in fan above, which provides constant airflow, slowly pulling air from the bottom, and through the dryer and filter and out the top.
This XL (60 Cm Diameter) is larger than their regular one, the WeDryer S1 (30 Cm Diameter), but I was unsure of the capacity I needed at the time. While I may never fill the XL completely, I’ve used it with multiple levels filled, as well as just the top one, and it works well enough that I have no regrets about getting the big one.
I really love that you can just load in an even layer of wet-trimmed flowers, and walk away for a few days. The capacity I’ve experienced is up to roughly four ounces (when dry) per level with just buds, and less with branches…ymmv. Things seem to dry uniformly and I have almost no concerns with mold, as long as the lung room humidity is low enough. One of the only notable things I’ve had happen is that I overdried some because the lung room was in the high 40s RH, and 3 days was too much in that environment for wet-trimmed buds off the branches. Otherwise, if the lung room RH is at least in the high 50s/low 60s, I tend to get a pretty nice, even dry after 5-7 days or so depending on how much is in there, the density of the buds, etc.
I hang it in a closet for use and the filter works so well you generally can’t tell there's anything in there. It also collapses very nicely, and I can just barely squeeze it into a full size kitchen trash bag for storage between grows, which is very convenient. I have used it a few times and have had no real issues, nor have I replaced the charcoal filter it came with yet.
If something happens to this one, I would likely get another.
