yeah man some lime and a few cups of casting and some rock dusts will do you really nicely with a basic soup feeding or alternating with teas bro. but really that the basic building of a soil bag that tend to be a bit hotter ofoucrse but less maintaining is need through feeds n the like.upgrades would be like Peat Humus, insect frass, bokashi(very cheap to make yourself btw) n that;ll really get you going man.

if you have a living compost you made and assuming it buffers well with added limes n thinning agents essentially imho bro your coming at teas all wrong man. you grow chems or know a bit about them?PH dont matter..blending of the components for your various stage(s) of growth are all thats needed with a good rain water. testing OH is fine for your base water to know where you need to go.so if you PH is roughly 6.5 Id add mushroom compost ,bokashi, your wettable powders(ie: great white ,endo/ecto's) liquid kelp(less for veg stage usually) or kelp meal(in place if needed for azomite or dusts) and some azomite or rock dusts and a light bit of fish.Molasses if no fish ofcourse.and mellow brewed for 24+ hours should render you a useable tea that your soil will build back up to the proper levels within PH range. cut your tea with and equal 1:1 ratio(upto 1:10 with my template i use) with any cal mag or pwdered kelp n so on juust prior to feeding and mixing OFTEN lol hope this helps you some man. if your compost is a working compost(meaning it balances itself out) youll have zero issues imo man. this is a template i really really REALLY like.I tend to make larger than average teas and there are a few smaller more mellow teas as well but i hope this thread helps you too.:Sharing One:

Bro this is crazy so I had some older soil that I had in a bin when I got the new stuff the other day I just put a lid on the old bin and left it not thinking after 3 days I open the bin up and it's solid mold

The mix is dr earths pot of gold
Some perlite and vermiculite
About 2 or 3 ouces of life 555 And the tomato vegetable and herb 5-7-2 neko is gonna post a pic for me since I can't right now wanted to get your jnput on this is this a good think or a bad thing would it be good to maybe add it to my current mix or should I toss it out it was left over soil anyways but when I see mold I think holy shot that's bad but given the application I'm thinking hey shit growing awesome so not sure how I should take this

edit to add it smells strong earthy and kinda like old beer mixed together if that makes since it's kinda sweet but doesn't smell like decomp

thats how its supposed to smell more of less.itll smell better in time like a good enriched earth like when you were a child ,is supossed to smell.great aint it.this is a simple mix.and the mold assuming it aint green or mostly white(hopefully white fuzzy stuff) and thats whatcha want.in a nother day get them corners well and mix it completely again checking the moisture level but its prolly juuust fine.let it ride and keep the other soil just stick it to the side for now dont toss it its totally workable man.

Alright the soil that's molding is the older soil not the one I just mixed the new stuff with the fish mean and kelp and all that smells amazing omg so freaking good this stuff is kinda string but more yeast ish

yeah thin n fuzzy, cotton like..thats good.now thats all dependant on if the blends are ok. like you were saying, just cuz theres the right kinda fuzz on it donesnt really mean a ton as far as proper proportions n PH for cannabis go.but again for a regular OD garden it might be great if worked a little. since its a simpler mix and things. but thats cool man. cooton like thin fuzz is good.

Ahhh the smell of humus....smells like life.
no seriously, thats he smell of are little buddies farts.

Yep that fuzz is good. ..ya got a real good ecosystem going there..that fuzz will almost act as an extended root system.

Hmm so maybe I should mix it in with my new soil with the kelp cotton seed and fish meal mix?
