Indoor 18-6 MH or 12-12 HPS +REP

hey guys like it says in the title, I've got a single autoflower going indoors. I was wondering, what would be better for the flowering stage, a 18/6 light cycle under a MH bulb or a 12/12 cycle under a HPS. Thanks in advance..

Hey there. Didn't catch your introduction. I are Squid. How'dya do sir or ma'am?

Auto's will automatically flower under any light schedule(hence the name). So you probably wouldn't want to ever put them on 12/12 as there is no point unless you are really trying to save power, control heat or not worrying about much yield. I say go with 20/4 and HPS if those are your two choices. Otherwise I would say a good and reputable LED and/or CFL or T5s. It all just depends.

hey, I'm not pro, just curious as to why you have to choose between only these two options? Because to be honest, I'd do a mixture of the two. I would use the HPS which is better for flowering (and because autoflower strains don't have a very long veg cycle the HPS will be more efficient for a longer time period throughout your grow.) on a 18/6 cycle or a 20/4 cycle.

Thats a pretty typical answer that you will receive for this question i feel. But there are quite a few members on here who trump my answer at all times, so if you see someone post something different and under their name you see a lot of "rep" just take their advice over mine for now k lol

probably growing photo's and has the MH 18/6 area for veg and the HPS 12/12 for flower.... If thats the case id keep it in the Hps room for the 12hours its on, then put it in the MH for the 6 hour difference, that way it would still get the 18hr light but the majority of it would be HPS
