Lighting 1st DWC grow, BAM by Pal

If any DWC buddies are out there do you think I should up my EC from 0.8? I don't know if I'm paranoid but she looks really pale green? Theres a few roots in the water now, still pretty small but she's definitely reaching the food I'm just worried it's not strong enough for her? Any input would be appreciated

Im not sure how the EC scale works verses PPM so im not much help but I would say something like 300-350 ppm would be what I would shoot for.

Day 9

We have roots people. This was me this morning ---> :dance:
Since there wasn't much feedback over the past few days (probably due to my over abundance of updates) I decided to go with my instincts. Made a fresh res and put the water level up to the full 15L. I did this for two reasons: to ensure the plant was getting enough moisture in the rockwool - I don't like the idea of top feeding DWC, and the to encourage roots outside of the net pot, something that made me very anxious as a first timer. She also looks quite pale green in comparison to my soil plant so I was worrying she wasn't getting any food. I've read contrasting opinions on where best to keep the water level, one side says keep it lower than the net pot to encourage the roots to go searching for food. The other says set the water level above the bottom of the net pot as it will encourage feeder roots, and I quote "the key to bigger yields". I'm not sure if I saw the roots for the first time today because of the water change or if it was just her time to pop out - either way in the future I think I'll always keep the water level higher then the bottom of the net pot, my res temps are cold enough to avoid root problems so should be all good from here on out..Hopefully now that her root is in the water she will start to go a darker shade of green! Anyways, sorry for blabbing on just hit some haze pretty hard : and enjoy the photos which follow.

Personally I would keep her for a few day on the 0,8 EC maybe a squirt of extra root wonder tonic

Short and sweet update this morning, still growing and roots have appeared through another hole in the netpot, hopefully things will start kicking off soon :

Day 11

Hey guys, daily updates continue for these early stages, I swear I'll try to stagger them once the plant is bigger : Seeing some nice root action now, the initial one is about 1.5 inches long and 2 or 3 more have started emerging from the net pot. EC 0.8 PH 5.5. She still looks pale to me, hard to tell without natural light but definitely the palest looking seedling I've grown, could just be a matter of time in DWC for the colour to come on strong but we'll see. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

I know some DWC growers use seedling veg nutes bro to start them off, something with very low N in it. Try them on some grow bro @ 1/4 strength.

When I was researching DWC I always had my head in Seymour's grows, they are packed with information bro. :thumbs:

Hey Vira, nice to have you here again (mainly because you agree with me) : I could tell she's pale, especially in comparison to my soil plant but I didn't want to make a move without the guru's advice :smokebuds:
Background water EC is 0.3 so I gues I've only upped it by 0.5 - I'll go add more a+b to make it 1.1, then i've upped it by 0.8 in total. Will add some pics after the top up (10 mins)

Thanks for getting back to my questions Mr Kip, as Vira highlighted just above, I wasn't taking into account my background water ec which is 0.3, she just needs a little more veg nutes
p.s. I have read through seymours grows, much to be learned and a must for all attempting DWC for the first time!
