Heres a lil question open to anyone that can help:
When using a water thermometer to read res temps, where is the best place for the probe? I've got it directly in the res right now and I've been adjusting temp based on that. However I've seen some people put them down the water level tubing on the side of the bucket..I did this and it's a good 4 degrees warmer in the tube. I'm guessing it's colder in the res as thats where the cold air bubbles end up and in the tube the water is sat still so could be warmer but which temp should I base my res temps around? directly in res (around 20deg) with all the bubbles or in the water level tube (around 24 deg) because obviously I need to adjust if the latter is the correct temp.

Day 19

Hey all, still alive at this point but not seeing her completely clear up. If it was a PH issue wouldn't those rust spots stop appearing on new growth? I've had the pH on locks since then so it shouldn't still be occurring? I dunno what else it can be so any thoughts at this stage would be great. Could be intense calmag def but I've got the calmag solution at 7ml already! There's a lot more roots coming out of the net pot since I lowered the water level down to 13L which is nice to see. PH is stable at 5.7 and EC at 1.2 - thoughts?

looks like the cal/mg is back lol .. your getting a pretty harsh 1st lesson here dude ! .You could add 3ml diluted with 1/2 L of water @ PH again ...or go for the res change ?. Shes obviously going to be a heavy cal/mg feeder so up it to 10ml next res & you should be ahead of her needs enough then :Holy Moly:
Id consider keeping the rhizo full for another week as well ?? .. My 4 albino's have not been happy so I just kept them in the 1 weeks res until they picked up (just startin to now ) .There throwing out new roots from the side of the pot just like yours & once they hit the water things should take off & i'll drop 2 half then .Looking at your roots id say they want another week at full whack to really get established .... half wont make a lot of difference tho Pal & its up you at the end of the day bro Hop digity:smokebuds:

1st lesson is turning out to be a bitch! Hopefully I'm just getting through all the troubles this time and all my future grows will look as nice as yours
Just thinking at 10ml of calmag my EC is already gonna be pretty high so I could half the rhizo and use a bit of zym? Or even full rhizo with zym if needs be. I can see one root inside the netpot that looks brown rather than white..getting me paranoid. All the others popping out look great.. :smokebuds:

Day 20

Hey guys, PH stable at 5.7, EC is now at 1.3 due to me adding an extra 3ml of calmag (diluted to half a L of water) to try and combat the def. I think later today I'm gonna give her a res change and include some cannazym as I've seen a few roots broken off, only about 1cm long but the cannazym should help with the damaged roots. I took a few pics inside and outside the tent as she looks worse under the LED. Thoughts/opinions always welcomed

Just gave her a fresh res, Half Rhizo, full zym, 10 ml calmag and 10 ml A+B vega, PH 5.7 EC 1.2..let's see if she picks up :stylez rasta smoke:

alarm bell are ringing mate .Only 10ml each of vegga to get 1.2 sounds way off ... i just did a res change very similar mate . 8ml cal , 30ml rhizo , full zym + a bit extra ...I still had to put in 35ml of vegga a&b to get 1.3 ?????????

What meter you got again ? bluelab ? .is it new ?. are you sure its spot on coz I can't see how only 10ml of each gets you to 1.2ec with only those extras in 1st ?unless my meter was way out maybe but ive not had any tip burn yet dude

First I added 10ml calmag>Rhizo?zym>A+B. Before the A+B my ec was at 0.8. The 10ml of A and B took it to 1.4 after all the extras. Starting EC i of my water is .4 (I checked before I added anything) so I took the EC down again with plain water. The bluelab isn't brand new, was used for a couple months before I got it - could be off?? Do you need specific calibration fluids for ec meters? Gonna have to order some if so..

God damn EC and PH meters!! I'll go add more..the res is 13L does that make a difference? I've been keeping it low to encourage roots.
