Lighting 1st DWC grow, BAM by Pal

What would you say is the cause of the brown/dry tips then buddy? My soil 16oz comp NL has it also so it can't be DWC specific?
my guess ...& my 16oz soil cans have the same thing lol... tip burn mate ,advanced a bit .May be a week or 2 old so does not mean there too hot now ?. Same as cal/mg deff ...even once you stop it the effected area does still do its thing a bit ,until the plant uptakes the new nutes i guess ?

a note on cal/mg & your light cycle ... TaNg's rebel series test grow ...1 unit on 18hrs a day has stopped cal/mg deff in its tracks ?. If you are still running on 24/0 that may have played a part in your cal/mg deff ? :smokebuds:

Day 29

Morning folks, not much to report but a couple things to note. I set the timer so my light cycle is now 20/4 to try and slow down calmag deficiencies, also raised the light a few inches incase it was getting too intense, when she starts to stretch I'll lower it back to 24". Roots still developing which is good - still seeing some broken bits in the res but hopefully it's slowed/stopped now since the roots are doing okay. Heres some pics - can't quite figure out if she is hungry but i'm letting ph drift from 5.7-5.8 and ec is at 1.7 so pretty high.

Day 30

Morning all, it's day 30 for the girls and I'm back with my daily update..this is gonna be one LONG thread if I continue with these daily lol - hope nobody minds! She's looking nice and green in natural light, all the photos I take are on my phone with a flash so it's not exactly what I'm seeing in front of my eyes but it's hard to get natural light on this girl without baiting myself out with the neighbours :D: Here are the pics anyway, I'll try and be sneaky to get a natural light pic soon :peace:

Day 31

Hey guys, she's looking pretty happy today imo, really heavy feeder but that could be due to the stunting/lack of initial root development. 1.7-1.8 EC seems to be her sweet spot which is pretty high for an auto I believe. Keeping PH between 5.7-5.8 to make sure she's getting that calmag. I have to do some fan leaf tucking every couple days to keep the budsites exposed, there's at least 9 now. Roots look better everyday and today I added 3L of plain water to the res to top up the water level - she's finally started drinking now the roots are more abundant. 6ml of Vega A+B were added to take the EC back up to 1.8 after the addition of plain water. I've got the light at 25" to try and encourage some stretch because I think I see staggered inter nodal spacing, could be wrong but check out the pics, see how you think she's coming along :peace:

Lookin good Pal she will start to stretch soon.

Thanks bro, can't wait for her to get her stretch on, if she doesn't get that big I will probably have room for a second bucket to go under the light :peace:

Looks like you're finally getting DWC cracked.... The lady is looking much happier....

Keep up the good work..

I'm getting there Mr G, thanks for stopping by! You got my vote for the 16oz comp so far, she's huge :D:

Roots have really come along nicely, whole plant is looking healthy!:gthumb:
