Hey man thanks for the tips, she's at 1.4 right now and I've not seen any more burned tips but will take the EC down every now and then by .1 to be safe, she seems to be balancing out now after the tormented start with all the levels going everywhere. Yeah I wasn't sure about the boost so I started out low, the Canna feeding chart says to use it at the end of the veg phase anyways. We'll see how she takes it, EC might wana come down if the boost is super strong. :smokebuds:

Light Upgrade

Hey guys quick update to show my second GN unit going into my tent, it's a tight fit to say the least. I've got them at angles to increase the intensity but I can't really take them any higher now other than making them hang flat from the roof. The highest tip of the plant is 21" away and the rest of the plant is at 22, 23, 24" depending on where you measure from - does this seems okay? Gonna have to get creative if not but I'm pretty sure they could be closer during flower. One more thing, the new unit is almost twice as loud as my existing unit, the fans (not sure which ones) are making a high pitched noise but it's hard to describe, gonna give it a couple hours to warm up and see what the deal is. It's not intrusive especially with all the other stuff running but thought I'd make a note. Digging the extra switch even though I don't need less power at this point in the grow Anyways enjoy the pics!

Just had a little fiddle with the angles because I wasn't sure how to best position them, if you wana help me out just reply with 1 2 or 3. 1 is completely flat.

I'm thinking three as much as it scares me to hang expensive lights like this! Let me know what you think

If I have them side by side I wont get the increase in intensity I'm going for, number 3 allows them to breathe but it's going to be a tight fit either way..decisions decisions, where's Tang whnen you need him?

not sure where TaNg is brotha ...but Im sure he will look in soon ... he will prob agree they shouldn't go like #3 in that tent mate.The other exit ports are touching the sides & that will make the heat sinks hotter im guessing (could overheat ?)?. Have them all flat, no angling & even touching maybe .Like a 4 x 3 config instead of 2 x 6 if you get me ? :GoooAuto:Its not my call to say for sure Pal but i'll throw that out till TaNgerz or Red looks in:

Day 44

Okay we're two days in on the 6th week now, things aren't perfect but looking okay for now. I added 1.5L of water this morning EC is at 1.3 PH at 5.9. I may have to move the lights around once Tang or somebody with GN knowledge let me know what option is most viable, I've kept them on option number 3 (see above) for now and they're not getting too hot like I feared, room temp has gone up by 2/3 degrees and humidity a good 10% at times but it's manageable. There appears to have been a burst of under growth, there's a lot more bud sites starting to appear lower down the plant as they stretch out for the light, my camera skills aren't great so I've just got what I could for you

She is looking beastly bro. I have always angled mine as Vira suggested but if the thermal vents are clear #3 would be fine.
If you have a noisy fan bro contact GN as you have a 3 year warranty and they will sort it no probs,maybe the fan is out of balance or something.

Thanks for getting back to me Tang man, I will contact GN when this grow is over about the fan, also I wasn't aware they changed the modules on the light I just got, i've got them side by side right now to avoid some bleaching and you can clearly see the difference in the spectrum - it's only slight but the when it hits the plant you can see the two different colours.

Day 45

Evening all just a couple pics for you today, she's been switched to flowering now but continues to grow in size, really surprising me. She isn't massivley tall but thats how I like it, especially in this small tent. If she hadn't gone through all the troubles at the start she would most likely be growing wall to wall as a giant square right now : Topped up with another 2L of water today EC 1.3 PH 5.9. Can't wait for full flower mode now very curious to see if I can make it to the end.
