Day 66

Sorry guys I didn't get a chance to take any pictures yesterday, I think thats the only day she hasn't had a photo shoot
But I'm back today with an update and lots of pics because I waited until this morning to do the res change, it's identical to the last res but with no silicon this time (not sure if it's needed?) anyway it looks like this:

20ml CalMag
7.5ml Rhizotonic
30ml Cannazym
45ml Canna Boost
25ml Flores A+B
EC 1.2
PH 5.8

When I tested the EC of the res she was sat in it had risen from the original starting point of 1.2 up to 1.4 3 day later and up to 1.6 another 3 days later (today). That leads me to believe the feed with slightly on the strong side so I've kept it at 1.2 to monitor, she has a good amount of boost in there anyway (3/4 strength until next res change when I add PK).
I can't wait to see how she turns out now, maybe she'll get a bom nom if she fattens up nicely : - does anyone know the highest yield from a Blue AutoMazar yet? I know insert had a pretty nice one but can't remember any weights..by no means do I expect the biggest yield I was just curious..plus I have 2 more beans to run on my next grow and hopefully I can put my new knowledge into action and give them a healthy start to life! she could easily hit 7-8 zips ++ if you listen to her needs, and id drop the rhizotonic at this stage of the grow as its done its job, the plants do still put out more roots in flower but not at the same rate as they do in veg so you might aswell save it for another grow, ive got to the stage now where I don't even use root stim

also I noticed your using cannazym which does break down your roots as this is taking effect it will increase your ec, if your res temps are ok and your pumping enough 02 into your res your should never have to use cannazym, ive never used and I do get amazing root formation

if it was me id just use canna flores / cal/mag and boost and then monitor my ec and ph as I know she can take a stronger feed but because of the zym this might be throwing your whole res out of sync, you didn't mention anything about which direction your ph was going as this is also a great indicator of whats happening in your root zone ?

also to get even deeper the cannazym might actually be killing your plant slowly as it doesn't just eat away at dead roots it will breakdown everything so even the healthy roots maybe taking a battering which is why your plants look like they have tip burn but in actual fact its because the roots that are suppling that part of the plant have been killed

im sure after reading this you will see im not a big fan of anything that will kill my roots haha

I've been using it just as reassurance really because when I started I had root issues, they would keep breaking off in the water it slowed/stopped but I still get the odd one here and there so I thought I should always keep the zym going to break them down.
For the next res I will try something like CalMag, Flores, Boost, PK - no rhizo or zym and see what happens, I'm sure you're correct so I don't doubt your advice my man. Also you mentioned PH, I set it at either 5.8 or 5.9 and it hasn't gone past 6.0 at all so it's a rise in PH by a small amount over 24 hours.

if your res temps are correct and your blowing enough c02 into the res you don't need cannazym, its the cannazym that's messing your readings up

like I said previously as the zym breaks down your roots it will increase your ec the fact that your ph is also rising indicates to me the plants are feeding but your not getting a true reading cause the cannazym is knocking everything out of balance

I know that the blue auto mazar can handle an ec of 2.2 which if your using reverse osmosis converts to 1.8 ec, your only feeding your plants at 1.2 ec but because of the miss readings and the conditions of your leaves you get the impression your over feeding, a true measure of overfeeding is ph down ec up

dump the zyme and you'll get a better handle on the situation

cannazyme was designed to eat away the dead roots that were caused by root rot which is suffocation of the roots, providing you have enough c02 and the correct temps you wont ever get dead roots, prevention is better than the cure

its your grow and you can do what ever you want im just providing you with my take on the whole situation and hopefully educating you towards being a better grower with deeper understandings

My res temps are usually sitting between 18-20 degrees, never any higher than 21 (no lower that 16/17) and I'm using a 30lpm pump so I should be good for res conditions. I'l definitely drop the zym next res, will only be a few days. The other thing is I've noticed from my first grow that a stunted plant will require less EC - I thought that might have something to do with it as I stunted her within the first three weeks. Would I be safe in saying that until the PH drops I could continue to raise the EC?
And trust me man I'm always willing to listen and learn I appreciate the amount of time it takes to explain things for first timers. :smokebuds:

ph up ec down = increase feed
ph down ec up = less feed (just add water to lower ec)

Ahh I'm learning a lot today : okay new plan, tomorrow morning I will make another fresh res consisting of:
20ml CalMag
45ml Boost
25ml Flores
I'll leave out the zym and rhizo so for the next few days up until the pk booster arrives I'll be able to get an accurate EC reading to determine where she should be for pk week. That res takes her to 1.2 EC and with no zym it should go down asking for stronger feed which I will move up once it's confirmed she hungry. If I should just start the new res at a higher EC let me know
And I think it was probably a premature observation but during my first grow I stunted one of two girls, the stunted girl would show signs of tip burn when the other would show no signs of over feeding at the same strength - there's probably something more to it but I trust your knowledge man
