Lighting 1st DWC grow, BAM by Pal

Ahh I'm learning a lot today : okay new plan, tomorrow morning I will make another fresh res consisting of:
20ml CalMag
45ml Boost
25ml Flores
I'll leave out the zym and rhizo so for the next few days up until the pk booster arrives I'll be able to get an accurate EC reading to determine where she should be for pk week. That res takes her to 1.2 EC and with no zym it should go down asking for stronger feed which I will move up once it's confirmed she hungry. If I should just start the new res at a higher EC let me know
And I think it was probably a premature observation but during my first grow I stunted one of two girls, the stunted girl would show signs of tip burn when the other would show no signs of over feeding at the same strength - there's probably something more to it but I trust your knowledge man

if your plant does get tip burn just empty the res a bit and top up with plain water as this will lower the ec and don't forget to re-balance the ph

tip burn is a good thing as long as it is tip burn as this shows you have found her breaking point or threshold, many growers will wait till later on in the grow before trying to push their plants that hard though

my think different had nutrient burn in her early stages but still went on to produce a nice result

set the res @ 1.2 ec with ph 5.9 and see which direction she goes in you can also hold off on the boost aswell until you get a true reading from your lady

Day 67

Got a bit behind today so things are a bit later than planned. She's been sat in her new res for about 3 hours now so I'm gonna give it some more time before checking the EC again. I added 20ml CalMag and 25ml Flores EC 1.2 ph 5.8. If all goes to plan she should be asking for more food soon. I snapped a few pics when changing the buckets, what an ordeal I will update again later with my results, for now here are the pics

hey pal 23 just joined the forum myself ive finally decided to start showing my skills lol. all i do is dwc so if you got any question fire away my friend after reading the full 40 pages i wish ide of joined earsier you could of used my help it seems. as for the beginning wow you hit it with high ec that probs burnt roots and the rot and fell off if you wish to keep things clean use food grade 35 percent at 1ml per gl plus adds extra oxygen as for the canna the ritztonic its only really used for cuttings if you want moor roots you use root stimulater like atami root bastic etc or AN voodoojuice looks like ur ready for a pk spike soon try to keep ec under 1.4 and for the next grow get a reverse osmosis machine your ec will be 0 then add calmag up to .4 ec or 200 ppm in the 500 scale the reason for a r/o machine is it deionizes the water and takes chlorine and chromine out which is poiseness to plants anyway anything you want to ask crack on and well keep an eye out for my grows up and coming ive just orded the same strain i use auto in my veg tent with the photo periods its free bud lol then take them out and flower them.

Easy man welcome to the site! Let me know if you need any help navigating. Yeah definitely had some ups and downs trying to wrap my head around the hydro but its getting easier. An r/o machine would be great but the funds evade me right now so just working with what I have around. I've also heard good things about the Voodoo juice, however I received all the nutes in my line up for free apart from the Boost and CalMag so no need to replace the Rhizo until I have to! Looking at your post there id have to disagree with rhizo just being for cuttings/seedlings ?. Its as good as all the root stims you mention in my experience ...also 200ppm of cal mag seems a lot for seedlings even with the zero ppm of RO (which by the way does remove all the beneficials that help keep PH stable !) obviously thats just MHO & theres infinite ways to grow a weed lol :smokebuds:

Right I've just been in to check on this girl and the EC has gone from 1.2 to 1.3 so not the drop we were looking for, I'll give it until tomorrow to see if I get a change but don't want to leave her without boost for too long - suggestions?

no problem....

dutch pro xplode is just a pk booster the difference with every pk boost is its ratio of potassium and phosphorus, ducth pro xplode has a ratio of 9/18 which is exactly the same as Canadian xpress superior potash which is what I used to use back in the day and is way cheaper than the xplode, the reason your flowers foxtail is purely because of the amount of potassium your pushing into your plants , pk 13/14 is more balanced giving you a nice even expansion

I noticed your method of how to administer pk boost was also a timely classic but in order to get the best result from this you have to start early on and increase each week until your at full dosage, obviously pal23 is a little bit further on in his grow to adopt your pk method which is why I suggested doing it my way, don't get me wrong both methods will produce the desired effects but as oppose to teasing them slightly week by week as with your method mine is simply to let them have it hard for 1 week

their are loads of variations I could go into with pk admin but ill save that for another day, if your happy with your results and get the desired effects you want then there is no reason for you to change but having the knowledge and experience makes you a better grower

some growers may well like to have the foxtail effect but as mentioned I do prefer a nice compact bud

your to far in the game now to try and find her sweet spot so you might aswell go for broke and hit her hard with the pk boost for 1 week followed by a week @ 1.0 ec followed by a flush and take what ever she gives you for your effort

that's just 1 suggestion but im sure their are plenty of others
