Okay well I let her sit in that res over night to monitor any further changes, by this morning it has risen to 1.4/1.5 so today I think I'll just make up the res at 1.2 with the boost added again, when my PK arrives I'll blast her hard for a week as suggested and then take it down slowly towards flush. Pics and stuff later

Day 70

Hey guys, I've missed a few days so my apologies for that, I've just rolled my last joint of bubblegum (street weed) which is actually not bad, so prepare for a stoned update :
Sp after the last few days of fumbling with different res conditions I'm back to where I was before with 45ml boost and an EC of 1.2 The EC actually rose again to 1.4 but hasn't moved since. I've got an identical res set at 1.2 so I will top her up with that to keep the EC down. Finally got my PK booster ordered today so hopefully we'll be able to put that into action soon. Here's a few pics to enjoy before I move onto my concerns/questions for you pro's out there.


Right, down to business. I have two concerns I hope you guys can help me with today.

1. Humidity is often peaking at 65% which I believe is too high for flowering, total range is 50%-65% so I was hoping to find a few suggestions on where the humidity should be - 40%? And how to achieve it. I've got a fan inside the tent but it's small and doesn't circulate all that well and a bigger fan blowing air through one of the vents on the side of the tent.

2. Today I noticed some rust spots appearing on a few of the flower/sugar leaves. Any ideas what this is? Ph is stable and she's on a 20ml CalMag dosage - could need more? I've attached a couple pics to try and show what I'm talking about.

40% and under is where I aim for in flower bro, I find you get amazing resin production and its piece of mind agains the bud rot. Plant looks dank bro.

a lot depends on how controlled your grow room is to find out whats causing the humidity

in my grow room the outdoor weather can play a factor for example if its raining outside the overall humidity will increase but I can control this with a de-humidifier

also what I have noticed if the plant is out of ph range she will expire more water which will increase the humidity inside your grow room, the reason for this is because she can only absorb water from your reservoir and not the food

as stupid as this sounds I do calibrate my ph meter a few times throughout the grow using ph 7.0 at a temp of 25c to make sure that im getting accurate readings and the plants are in the correct range to be growing

it might be worth checking the accuracy of your ph meter to make sure your plants are in range which could also be the reason your ec is rising, if the plants cant access the food they will only be taking on water

if everything is accurate your only soloution is to get a de-humidifier for greater grow room control although its only at certain times of the year that humidity can be a problem

anything from 40%- 60% is good for flowering

My tent is in a small room with a window open so the outside temps and humidities are definitely a factor here..I've been managing to keep it between 50-60% for the past few days so we should be okay just gonna have to stay on top of it. One step ahead as they say, I do have a big dehumidifier built into my aircon unit it's just expensive to run and there's no way it would fit in my tent! Day 72

Hey guys, today the EC went up and PH went down so 1.2 is still a bit too much with the boost, I will make a new res when the PK arrives at EC 1.0 and just top her off with water until then. I've snapped a few pics (all inside the tent I'm afraid) and I still would love some input on these rust spots - they've got me worried!


and heres a few more just for the sake of it buds still growing slowly but surely, cant wait to hit her with the pk..finish line in sight people wish me luck..

I'm not expert bro but it looks a little like P or K, I'm sure they start as orange rust spots. Have you upped the cal/mag just incase it was that?

Day 74

Afternoon all, my girl is still drinking 2-4L a day - she drinks more around 20 degrees which is why I guess people tend to recommend the res to be set here. I added just plain water to rake the Ec down slightly today, PK boost should be here before the next res change so all is looking good for now. I've added a few pics but they're all looking pretty similar these days, can't wait for the buds to start maturing and getting brown hairs :
