Lighting 1st DWC grow, BAM by Pal

I use it @ 1ml per ltr so around 16ml per res then add 16ml every other day for the week, keep her @ ph 5.9-6.0 and top off with plain water to keep her res full

you can keep your current ec and add the pk boost 1st then add your canna boost then top up to required ec with canna flores a+b

this is how I would do it

I would increase my ec by .2 like cocha says but by this stage of the grow id have a better grip on my plant, your still struggling to keep her ec stable so I wouldn't try anything to over the top although it is your grow and your in charge

Why would you bother unless you are away for long periods.
Surely if you auto top up with a pre mixed solution you will never know what your ladies are actually taking with regards to EC and PH, it would throw all your readings between top ups out!

ill wait till the res is low then just add plain water to top her back up, obviously this will lower her ec slightly but it keeps her feeding

when that 2nd top-up is low ill just put her in a fresh res

I always have a 2nd bucket being bubbled with fresh water so I can either mix a fresh res or just add the water

That does seem easier & use less nutes !:stylez rasta smoke: just more regular changes ... thing I found topping off with water was the cal/mg deff would start again & EC would drop pretty fast ...plus res changes where hard work & I did as few as I could at this stage ,the top up bucket usually had the EC a few points lower (just less aqua) & like you said another with just water . if something works for you bro don't feel the need to change it, ive messed with loads of methods believe and I just find my method to be easier waste less nutrients and keep the plant feeding

you get great results anyway dwcocha for you its just about fine tuning and simplyfing an over complicated process so it becomes easy for every 1 to grow in dwc :smoke:

dwc growing is the sport for the future, biggest harvest from seed to weed in 80 days, it doesn't have to be just weed though you could use other fruits and veg/ herbs and feed the world bro and get the weed free flowing :smokebuds:

Couple questions about this bro - how low are we talking before you top up? Is it not better to keep the roots submerged as much as possible? It definitely sounds like less nute usage though I guess it comes down to how easy it is to move the plant around - if res changes are tricky (like my current grow) this could be a handful. On my next grow in a bigger tent I won't have to worry about space so will definitely be trying this method out..Let me know how you get on Cocha??

The back up res is identical but it's not automatically fed into the main res I just do it by hand every morning AFTER checking for ph and ec swings so you can still monitor what's going on in the res and then top up accordingly, ec drop top her up with nutes, ec rise top up with water

Hey Pal,

How tall do you think she is standing now?

It's hard to get an accurate measurement with a tape measure but she's about 110-120cm from the ground but that's with the dwc bucket too. She is definitely 80cm wide in all directions and would be larger if my tent wasn't limited to 80cm : I also stunted this one for the first 2/3 weeks so if you're trying to size up the BAM mine isn't the best judge of character, check out Mr. Ganjamoto's current grow, he just chopped a BAM should give you a good idea what she is capable of, Insert also had a great one

Day 78

She's been sat in her new res for a few hours now so I thought I'd upload the pics from earlier. I added the following:

25ml CalMag
15ml PK 13/14
60ml Boost
15ml Flores A+B
EC 1.2
PH 5.9

Hopefully we'll see the buds expand over this next week :
