Fast Buds 1st Grow, FastBuds - Blackberry & Girl Scout Cookies, 250w HPS - Wish me luck...

Hey guys,

After months and months of reading and watching you pull off some fantastic grows, I have decided to take the plunge and give it a go for myself. Now enough fucking around, here's a bit about my setup...



60x60x150 Grow Box
250w Dual Spec HPS With Cooltube (ballast mounted inside top middle of box)
New Carbon Filter (connected to one end of cooltube, mounted top front left)
Out Fan (connected to other end of cooltube extracting out top, mounted top back right)
Intake Fan (mounted bottom front left)
2 x 19 liter Smartpots
Light Mix Soil
Biobizz Nutes (RJ, Grow, Bloom, Max, Heaven, Algamic & Activera)


Pros:

I'm not a total numb-nuts so should be able to figure this shit out, maybe with a little bit of your help...



Cons:

1. I have only one place for my budbox and thats in my bathroom above my washing machine. It fits like a glove, leaving just enough space for the air inlets and outlets.

2. Bathroom has no windows though does have a decent extractor fan

3. Current temps and humidity not reading at the best levels (25-27 deg at plant tops, 30-33 deg generally, 28%-35% humidity) but should work out ok with a bit of management. I hope...




I started germing 3 days ago in paper towels. Today I checked to see both had a nice 1cm tail so potted right in to the 19l pots (about 2cm down and lightly covered) after I had moistened to soil with water +2ml/l of RJ. I then covered the central area with the bottom of a plastic bottle to enclose the area and hopefully increase the much needed humidity for this early phase.

Alos, I have been advised that I don't need to check or adjust the PH of the water while using Biobizz nutes. Can that be right?

Hello jam , I've grow that gsc by fast buds and she is amazing . I didn't ph water I gave her hose water through her lifespan she was grown outdoor in a 5 gal home depot bucket with holes in bottom.
Her first few nodes seem to take a bit to grow but in no time she started stretch not flowering just stretch. After about 6 node she started to show a very sativa Dom pheno long spindly leafs with nice spacing. But she did indeed smell like a cookie . Some dayum good smoke wish I had more beans of it cheers mate sorry for long post

Thanks for the heads up.... I'm too excited for this and just hope this ends up as a positive experience to be proud of. Hoping to see them pop out in 2-3 days and will go from there I suppose.

And we have lift off folks!! Day 5 from germ, day 2 from potting....

Both were potted about 1-2cm deep and are now 1-2cm out of the soil, so I believe its a good start.

Fed with Biobizz RJ and AV, both at 2ml/l when potted and have now had a little spraydown until next water tomorrow.

Temps inside are still going to be my main worry. Currently 29-33deg with 33% humidity, though I believe my make-shift humidity chambers (plastic bottles with a few holes pokes in top) will make a huge difference in these early days.

Now we wait for our first proper sets of leaves, hopefully just days away and I will update once again... Pics below...

P.s. Not a clue why the pics are being rotated horizontally when uploaded vertically... Any ideas?

Day 9 from seed:

Girls haven't shown tremendous growth and first leaves appear to have a yellowish tint, grrrrr... Started feeding with half doses of Biobizz root juice and activera and plan to follow the suggested schedule all with half doses. Pics below....

Hey Jam, subbed up for this one as a fellow 60cm x 60cm tent/250hps grower (1st hps grow).. I see that you're struggling a bit with temps already..

My tents in the loft and I'm in the UK so no probs at all with temps and in fact without the HPS in there my temps would be way too low in the winter months!! Haven't had an HPS summer yet!! I'll worry about it when it happens

Wats the temp like in your bathroom.. Outside the tent?? Are we talking normal room temps just 23/24ish??

Hi mate, thanks for tuning in...

I am in Spain, room temps average 22-25 but are due to increase soon enough. Temp inside has stabilized at around 28.5deg with low of 24 and high of 29.6, like is that sooooooo bad? I am going to buy a couple of small clip-on fans and try to increase circulation inside.

Also worth noting that the intake vent has approx 3" between the wall as does the extractor from the ceiling. Not great i know...
