What's up everybody. Been lurking around for awhile and finally joined the fam and got myself a small stealth cab suitable for my situation. I'm starting to have doubts tho bc of the cab size but maybe ima a first timer extra noid about the set up. It's three feet tall LxWxH 18"x9"x"36 basically the dimensions of a pc grow w/36" height. Dwc 1 gallon with two 6" air stones powered by a tetra whisper 40. Two intake fans attached 80mm 34cfm each, two outtake fans attached 80mm 34cfm, and one 92mm 38cfm inside the cab for oscillation. Temps are now in the lower 80's at the high and has hit as low as 69 at night with lights off. Rh is acceptable for now. My nutes are advanced nutrients ph perfect two part sensi grow & bloom along with voodoo juice, b-52, big bud, bud candy & overdrive. I plan to use RO water with the nutes. Does anybody have any experience with this line of nutes with RO in dwc? I have four cfls totaling 240 watts for now. I plan to add some more lighting in there as long as temps are suitable, but I'm thinking maybe a led 13w grow bulb (does 13w led output 100w?)or two along with the cfls, any suggestions? Below are pics of the setup last week looking kinda rough made some minor upgrades since and cleaned up all the wires, below pics are bag beans I started for testing purposes before I place my purchased beans in. Had to make sure the weather on the inside was great. Please any suggestions or comments as of now is much appreciated. Hey OOOGaUtO, Welcome to the fam brother

I cant say an awful lot on your setup because i'm new myself and know nothing about hydro so wouldn't want to give you misleading information.
However i can say right from the get go your going to need to drops your lights down to your ladies. Right now most of the lumens there putting out is being wasted being so far away, meaning your plants are going to stretch like crazy looking for the light.

Unfortunately with my lack of knowledge i dont feel i can help you much more than that but im sure the AFN pros will soon show up and chime in

Hey thanks a lot Carbon really diggin that tent and set up you have , looked that up on amazon not bad at all on the price may have to look into one those in the future possibly. But yea I found some boxes to stack in there to raise them up closer to the light jus so happened I took the pic while they were down, I've been moving them up and down testing temps. Thanks a lot and good look and ur beautiful ladies.

Thanks bro, the tent is by far my best purchase so far and like you say its a very reasonable price, and i must say the quality is second to none!
Good karma coming your way dude, best of lucky with your ladies! I'll be sure to pop back and check them out

Thanks alot carbon good karma sent you way as well and I will be keeping a close eye on your journey, thanks a lot and say hello to the girls for me

Getting the lights much closer to the plants will help a lot with growth....your setup looks good!

LB

Thanks a lot LB. yea I've been moving them up and down jus testing temperatures at different heights to make sure the weather on the inside is perfect for the babies when I really get things going.

Little quick update. Haven't gotten all my nutes and still waiting on my tds meter. Got most of nutes and ph reader pen. Added a cut to fit carbon filter on the outtake. Also upgraded to 3 100 watt cfl and one 60, giving me 360 in there now. Been testing temp rates today and tonight with this upgrade hope and added filter, hope it doesn't get to hot in there. Here's an update pic of the bag bean ladies off str8 tap water and like 2 aquafinas when the water levels dropped. Plan to give the real go all aquafina water been doing a lot of research seems like this is the best reverse osmosis bottles water with a low ppm and steady ph of 5.9. Ill test that out tomorrow.

OOOGauto great setup bud...I do think Carbon is correst as to the lights are a bit to far. I am no expert but just started my own grow with rubbermaid containers /lined he insides with reflective tape /1 pc fan (hooked a simple 12 volt charger to it for an intake fan /and a 4 inch exhaust fan from home depot/ 1vanity light with bulb extension to make enough for six CFL s / / veg with 6500 k and now flowering with 2700K / I started lowryder 2 auto from Herbies and growing in Fox farms Ocean Forest, I did start the beans with happy frog and let me say so far I am proud and amazed at what I am seeing. Bottom line like I said keep those lights closer bud.....I wish you a great grow !If ya want I will try to get some pics up of my grow.

Awesome DYI mate! I concur about the 6500k cool cfls for veg and 2700k warm for flower. Also the idea of CFLs being able to be quite close to the plants tops but I think you are pretty close to the right hight now. Hope a current CFL user can come in with some dictating hights to scratch down for you as I've moved to LEDs..

Good luck on your grow!:smokebuds:
